Great window and, as ever, the ITK's are all very much appreciated.

For me, this is the culmination of 3 successive windows where the team/squad has been better moulded to compete in four competitions. Ndombele, Sessegnon, Clarke and Lo Celso were/are/will be important pieces. Bergwijn and Fernandes too. To them, we have added Hart, Bale, Reguilon, Doherty and Vinicius.

None of that includes Devine, Solberg and Paskotsi. Or the quality reinforcements in the U-23's of Ferguson, Omole and Lavinier.

Spurs have improved the quality of the squad from the top to the bottom, creating far more competition at every level and sending off players on loan where they will get the playing time necessary to make that next jump (Skipp, Sessegnon, Foyth, Eyoma, Parrott, Roles, Tracey with more to come).

There is a clear plan and, for the first time, it looks like all levels of the organization are working to the same goal, now and for the future.

Not sure if already posted (couldn’t see it anywhere) but JJ in response to ‘Any chance of re visiting for Skrinier in January?’

Lots of things need to happen for us to consider that again - I would say doubtful but there again when asked about Bale early on my personal opinion was doubtful but I also did caveat that with Daniel wanting it badly !!

I've been in this forum for as long as I can remember but I have never enjoyed a more fulfilling window in this forum quite like this one that has just passed.

Often, it's heartbreak after despair, particularly on deadline day but yesterday was really comforting knowing, as Trix alluded to, all bases are more or less covered.

Obviously Skriniar would have been the cherry but the fact that we are still actively seeking alternatives in the CB area shows that the manager is being backed in the manner that I have never seen before.

Honestly can't wait for the season to resume, because in all of this transfer talk, it's so easy to forget we still have a certain Gareth Bale to kick a ball in anger for us.

Onwards COYS.

I guess whether we will get back to Skriniar depends on so many things

i) Financials - Does financials change in our favour
ii) Situation in Jan at Inter - whether Skriniar is part of Conte plans and how well they are doing in competition
iii) Situation at our side - How we doing and how badly we need him
iv) Covid - Does covid have more financial impact on other clubs , giving us other better opportunities.

I cant remember the last transfer, which we missed in the summer window and got back to in Jan or in subsequent windows.

Bsodl can hold their heads high this morning. Levy and team filled every slot(yes every slot) Jose wanted filled, and threw in Bale for good measure. Bought before we got the outs which is unprecedented for Levy, and did it all without a massive outlay.

Such a contrast to the last few windows, partly down to Covid, partly down to having Hitchen and Birch, and partly down to having a manager not fixated only on certain individuals.

I'd say the back of house team now matches the stadium and training ground, and given time the first team will be at that point as well.

Whatever happens there will be no room for Jose to blame the board if things don't go as planned.

Now all the drama is over I think it’s only really just hitting me that we only re-signed Gareth Fucking Bale!

Bale Avatar Day was the single most collective sex wee in living history.

then Stoofs temple of Wout was hilarious as well
Think the Bale day was the one. The “unbelievability” of it.... after windows of wishing. Until he plays I still can’t quite appreciate the magnitude of it all

If he goes 24 games without a win again, this place will be carnage.

Great window... @Trix said it perfectly, everyone should be happy.

For what it's worth, I heard we were extremely close to Skriniar on Saturday and it sounds like Inter pulled out when they couldn't get a replacement in at the right price. I think with the changes in the clubs structure and method of doing things (wider range of targets) it has become more difficult to provide the same level of reliable information as it was a couple of years ago. With that in mind, I'm not planning to post any more nuggets of info - unless I get something extremely clear cut and 'done', I'd prefer to just be able to talk about Spurs without anyone reading too much into it. So if everything posted from now on can be considered a fan's opinion that would be much appreciated and the Goat will be used for everything else.

Thanks to all of you over the years for understanding when things don't turn out as they expect, and to all the mods for keeping things in line. I'm glad that one of the very last posts I was able to give was this one, on the Tuesday just before it broke!
Thanks Reb. Totally understandable. Thank you for your input my friend. Always sat up straight and paid attention when your name popped up. Look forward to discussing all things Spurs without the monkey on your back ??
