why would someone be available in Jan who wasn't this window? I can't see much difference in Jan other than less players being sold mid season. I can only see someone like Kim coming in Jan because of the window in China.

Unless stadiums open Europe wide I would imagine a lot of good players will be available in January

No-one is keeping regular clean sheets at the moment. I don't think adding Skriniar gives us clean sheets... it does cut out the mistakes which is undoubtedly gonna be helpful but it seems like no-one is keeping clean sheets.

Not true at all; after 20 years of marriage I can report with utmost certainty that the sheets in the TwanYid household are- and have for years been- very, very clean.

Indeed, nary a stain on them...

I'm disappointed but not gutted, we obviously just wouldn't play Inter's game and walked away.
If Jose does want him I wouldn't be surprised if we went back in January.

This January window will be unlike any other. Tight balance sheets now will be looking disastrous then. Those who can buy will have a field day.

Exactly. Looks like Inter were not able to shift anywhere near all the players that Conte allegedly wanted out. So like you say, there may potentially be a deal to be had in January (of course provided that Levy still feels comfortable spending money then).

If Inter thinks we are United or scums who could be so desperate and pay what they asked for, they probably gonna regret it. If will be hilarious if Conte was just playing a bluff of starting him past few matches when he really had no intention of having him in his plans.

Levy needs applauding for not biting. It will strengthen our stance in future negotiations with other clubs as well.

Completely agree. In the end Levy has a job to be financially responsible, particularly in the current climate.

I've seen fans respond by saying just pay the £13m difference. It doesn't work like that and I fully support Levy's position.

Let's see where are at in January and if we go in for Skriniar again.

Just realize Vinicius used to play CB.. could be a super super back up plan haha.

Hopefully we go back for Skiniar in Jan.. and Inter doesnt fancy him still..

Although you are joking, it must help us to defend set pieces when you have a 6ft 4in striker who used to be a centre back.

And I imagine he’s pretty good at defending from the front as well. Probably partly what Jose saw in him.
