the most amazing bit of Utd news post our victory was that OGS wanted Erling Haaland who he had coached at Molde!
Woodward didn't get it done. Borussia get him for a steal.
Didn't realize that back story but it shows what a shit show Woodward is running.
All the Norwegian media, and I mean all, were convinced Haaland was a shoo-in for United because of their prior connection and Solskjær definitely wanted him. One of many absolutely massive bollock-drops by Woodward.

That was there undoing last time around too. I’ve got no idea why they havent addressed it
I saw Fulham send birthday wishes to Tim Ream on their Twitter. He's 33???

Talk about stealing a living, he'd only barely be good enough in MLS.

United (and the media) got what they deserved re Sancho. The pure arrogance from the club, the fans and the media to hassle Sancho into moving was ridiculous. Glad Sancho isn't going anywhere. He's done well at Dortmund so why should he leave?

That's what happens when you don't have the rights for anything. No real practice = bad quality.

MOTD doesn't count, the studio segments are so short.

Not sure that’s the reason tbh. Plenty of football podcasts with zero access, zero rights offer a high standard of insight and analysis. BBC still cover a lot of games on the radio.

The problem for me is that they’ve shaken up the roster of pundits and presenters to make the line up more youthful and, naturally, diverse, with predictably anodyne results.

Have to say it's nice to just sit back and see what others are doing without worrying about ourselves for a change.

Think Partey would be good for Arsenal begrudgingly. Massive upgrade on what they have.

Telles I am interested to see how he does as he was one of my go to LBs on FIFA and FM for a few years, though I don't think he'll really solve the major problems for United, nor will Cavani.

Yes, but it doesn't matter who's in their midfield if they don't also bolster with two or three good defenders. They have absolutely no quality at CB.

If Fulham get a single point this season, with that squad, they’ll have overachieved. I’ve never seen a Premier League squad so bereft of quality. Only Mitrovic and Areola have any ability. Kamara is the worst footballer I’ve ever seen in my life.

I'm not afraid to admit Partey is a top player and will improve Arse. I'm also not backing down when I say that should we have signed him, his impact wouldn't have been much greater than Hojbjerg's. It's all about fits, Partey is more of an 8 than a 6, just Simeone's system means he is often in his own half. I really don't believe that Partey will improve them as much as PEH has improved us. Tbf they're upgrading from elneny, but PEH upgraded us from basically nothing. We had no one who can do what PEH does.

Massive agent fee apparently but it seems they’re now prepared to do similar for Cavani....

nice to see that, after a shocking defensive display in a 6-1 hammering yesterday, Man Utd are responding by enquiring about every single winger in the whole of Europe ??

Love how Sky have Harry and Jamie on "harry great signing for arsenal" "Yes your right arsenal looking good, you know them and TOTTENHAM looking really good, got to sign players to keep up with their NLD rivals"

Love this ?

Considering all the talk beforehand, think its been relatively quiet today.

All deals that have taken place have been ongoing for a few days. Joe Rodon being the only one that seems to have come from nowhere (obviously hasn't been confirmed and will probably be ongoing into the second window).

Think ourselves, Arsenal and Liverpool have had good windows put of the top teams.

Chelsea looks good on paper but haven't really addressed their issues, City are still weaker than when they last one the title for me and Unitedhave had a stinker.

It's a shame really, after the England boys messed up with their party and breaking covid rules, the fa could have used him as an example of a football who has spent his whole life not getting closer than 2m from another player on the pitch. :cautious:
