From what I’ve heard it’s Skriniar or nobody at CB. Has to be the right price.
Defo not Rudiger, I just don't want to deal with that lot. I want them to remain full time enemies not have an October truce, we'll be singing carols with them next. No, No and No.

Given the relative cheapness of the CV deal I wonder if we are waiting to see if that work permit goes through before committing big funds to Skriniar.

If we do not sign Skriniar, and I honestly believe we will, there is a PL CH that name is been discussed on here, we would consider, and is doable to a point. We would try for him. Failing that we possibly would revisit in January. Not sure if we will loan out Foyth, if we don’t have cover. As the talk last week was we need to bring in a CH before we allow him to go. Things may of changed on that front

Rudiger would by no means be cheap. And to us the digits would be inflated higher. His agents busy though
Begs the question why we'd be interested in the first place.

I guess it would be a deal that would say 20m euros cheaper but for me that would be counter productive. There's a reason why Skriniar would be a pricier deal.

It would be false economy amd short term thinking. Skriniar would be a game changer. He would likely improve and could still be sold at profit.

Not for Rudiger and I like Rudiger.

D1 is spot on.

The work permit is an issue, I still expect it to go through on appeal though. Mendes is an expert at getting stuff like this done.

Rudiger is a back up option that is doable, but everyone involved wants the Skrinier move so more creativity and a bit of compromise should get it done. My concern would be another club throwing the full whack at them if other deals fall down. At this stage no others in the mix, just has that air about it.

Fingers crossed at this point.
Thanks Trix.

The work permit on appeal sounds a little concerning, if that fails we are left with no one. Does anyone know how quick the appeal process could be, assume it takes a matter of days at least.

The Skrinjar thing is fine to be honest, we certainly would benefit from having him but I certainly won’t be complaining if we don’t get him as the tw if CV comes off has been phenomenal. Just don’t see Rudiger happening simply because Chelsea won’t sell to us.

Top stuff! Sounds like we actually have a very sensible plan, best scenario is Skriniar, next best the PL CB and if not then we keep Foyth and Tanganga as 4th choice options.

Still expecting Skriniar to happen. Personal terms all agreed, just negotiations with Inter are proving difficult (but advanced I should state). If not I’ve heard one of our back up options who Jose really likes is Demiral. Rudiger highly unlikely

Cheer Tottenhamboys, that back up would be great, id be happy with that if Skriniar doesnt happen , but hopefully Skriniar will.

I don't understand how the Rudiger deal is doable. Chelsea would never deal with us.

Yet it has got us all talking about him, which in turn will be drumming up interest for him. Seems like he has a good agent who is just doing his job, promoting his client.
