Now we have Doherty I'd be more than happy with Serge as the alternative but the reality is, we need to raise funds and he might be the only one we can get a reasonable chunk of change for.

Yeah, I agree. He’s probably the best we can hope for as a backup and competition to Doherty. Highly doubt if he’s sold we would bring a replacement in.

He showed exactly why we should be keeping him tonight. Great performance.

Maybe I'm wrong, as the few chances we've seen him play RB he's done quite well, but at the moment I candidly could not see Tanganga putting in the same quality of shift at RB against Chelsea.

Don't sell, he's got a great engine and is technically very good. I'm sure we'll have enough to get Skriniar and some battering ram up front with sales from Foyth, Rose, CCV and loaning Sessegnon.

Im gonna be honest and I am biased here but Aurier just looks more dynamic than Doherty. I love Aurier but he just seems to have matured with us over the last year or two. He is my first choice right back easily.

I don't ever want to see a bad word said about his character. Debate his footballing ability all you want, but he's one of us. The last few months proved it.

Thought he was excellent tonight for what it's worth as well.

He is never going to be good enough to consistently support the attack and will always have a mistake in him but I can live with him as backup to Doherty. Also think if he plays in the same team as Reguilon, it can take the emphasis off him to be the main man when it comes to supporting attacks. Sounds like he is a popular member of the squad and thought he came across quite well in the Amazon documentary.

Having said that, if the right bid comes in, he goes and think chances are he probably will. In that scenario, Tanganga can probably do a job covering for Doherty which I'm also fine with.

He has massively improved. Keep him in the squad. Great character, passion and obviously keeps good vibes going with Tanguy. Don't sell. At least not this season.

Him one side and Reggie the other will help his game out also. I would keep him and let them compete, it’s a squad game.

We need to sell him to raise funds it's as simple as that really. We signed Doherty (Docherty if you work for sky sports) to be our no.1 so we need to try balance the books and he has some value so needs to be sold.
Us keeping him is wishful thinking but with Levy and his valuations there is a chance

I think we all knew he isn't a shit RB, I just think we used to put too much pressure on him because we were so lopsided. It's shown in Doherty on a couple of occasions too. Now we have Reguilon I think naturally both Aurier and Doherty will look better when they play, and we'll look a lot more balanced.

Played three positions last night. Right wing back, right wing and, once Tanganga went off, right back for 20 minutes. Played very well and I like him, but especially with two years left on his deal and Tanganga only likely to get decent minutes as a right back (where he looked good last night once we shifted to a back four) I still think it makes sense to sell him for funds/ non hg space. That said, should he stay, it gives us some great depth in that position, so I certainly won’t be complaining.

You can’t give Serge enough credit for how he has buckled down.

I was one of his biggest detractors, but I am fully in his corner now. He hasn’t whined. He hasn’t complained. He hasn’t gone to the media.

He’s put his head down, accepted the challenge, and has been superb this season.

I don’t know what part Jose has had in it, but he’s had a couple of guys on the edge and at the moment it seems all have taken the right path to work their way back in. That’s a good sign.

So glad he’s staying. Best set of full backs in the league now. Obviously Liverpool’s starters are the best easily, but quality of depth isn’t close.
