Really could do with him making the bench for the United game if Son is out. Even just to give United something to think about.

Don't like the idea of Bergwijn and Moura either side of Kane.

All depends on whether his knee injury has cleared up and he's managed to train at all.
If it has, it wouldn't surprise me to see him on the bench but I think that's unlikely.

I don't want to go rushing him back. I want a fully recovered Bale who gets eased into games when he's ready before starting them a few weeks later.

Reckon he’ll be on the bench against UTD.
Not sure he's even stepped foot on the training pitch yet. Someone with the injury record of Bale is unlikely to resume training and be available for selection in under a week sadly.

West Ham it is.

I’m seeing it as a Ledley King kinda situation. He doesn’t need to train.

Bale just needs to rock up at the training ground Friday afternoon and say “I fancy playing a part tomorrow” and he’s in.

Just let me have it.

It still hasn’t quite sunk in.

Also, Jeff Shrieves really winds me up for some reason. His interview technique is cringeworthy. Gareth did the best he could there.

I looked for Shreeves falling down during a live broadcast after reading your post but I forgot it was actually Nick Collins. Still, any excuse to post it....

Unless he has a tee time then, might have to just phone it in.

I'm usually annoyed with the international breaks, but this one seems more needed than anything. Bale will hopefully get some time to train and get up to fitness without the spotlight on him and hopefully he can be back after and ready to ease into the side. Fingers crossed we stay injury free this week and can get a decent result again United as then I would argue that we can go on a big run if everyone stays fit and firing. ?

Also with Sonny's injury (not sure how long he is out), it's a free week of recovery without the crazy amount of matches missed. Much needed break imo.

@jlunduski Yep, was dead against international break a few weeks ago....now it would be nice to get Bale upto match fitness, get Son back and give Reguilon another few weeks.

Also I think its about time our international players started pulling out with bruised toes/headaches like certain other clubs make them do....our squad is going to be incredible fatigued sooner rather than later if they are playing 8 times a week.

Much as we need a centre forward desperately, anyone who thinks we are negligent not having got one and concentrating on Bale and Reguilòn are quite frankly mad lol, as when players like that become available you snap them up!

In the short-term we will suffer a bit but once Bale is up and running and we get that hopeful back up striker we should really start to see some benefit!
