King and Skriniar would be fantastic imo.

I do think King is underrated by some on here. He's a very competent player who can play across the front 3.

We don’t need someone to play across the front three imo. We have plenty of those.

We just need a decent CF. King doesn’t convince me really. I think his versatility masks that he’s not that good as a pure CF, but we’re desperate so I’ve passed caring.

I'd have been ok with King earlier on but now I'd be disappointed. I'm not sure there's anything in this Telegraph piece though.

He is not good enough for Spurs, He will even be benched at Norway now after Sørloth and Haaland just being better.
Not to mention he will get a hamstring injury every time he has to play 2 times a week

Put it this way, if it’s a choice of King + Skriniar over Milik + Diop, I’m choosing the first option every single time.

I agree. Basically because I'm just not convinced by Milik. Seems like the kind of player that will offer more problems than solutions.

King is HG and a known quantity.

Hojbjerg was benched by Denmark. Who cares.

We’ve left it so late yet again that we don’t have time to be fussy over which striker we sign.

We should just be thanking our lucky stars if we even sign one.

Well i care, because King is not good enough in my opinion. But hey when you are desperate for a "striker" i guess we just talk up mid table players
he will be backup, we won't sign 'top4' players for that role

He’s in the last year of his contract too. £10m plus $2m add ons and ccv as they are interested in signing him

Ha! we've come full circle. I said at the beginning of the window that he was the most likely outcome.
Cheap, prem experience and versatile. Top of Levy's list im sure..... probably not Jose's tho

The very essence of squad filler, he will offer no competition to anyone for starting places.

I would genuinely prefer us not signing anyone over us signing King, and I say that as someone who has appreciated his slightly above average, yet still hugely disappointing contribution to the national team over the years.

If he comes he'd definitely be a Levy signing.

People not to enamored with the prospect of King being the back up striker, I don't know how to feel, I mean, if the manager is on board with it fine, if it means the squad is balanced and Mourinho feels he adds to what he is trying to do ...

Should have just signed him at the start of the window, then Kane could have had a rest and we might be many points more better off.

Yep. Ok to leave it late if it means you can land a better player, but if you are just going to predictably go for the cheapest option on the managers most important signing then get it done.
