You'll happily cite ITK about supposed Mourinho earmarked players/being vocal as a reason to be disgruntled, but when ALL of the ITK is extremely confident a striker will come in (it's really just a matter of which one) you're suddenly in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp. Pick a lane.

Which names are even dwindling exactly? Callum Wilson? Last I checked the players we were linked with like Milik, Weghorst, Wood, Edouard, Diallo, etc. are all still there.

So yeah it sounds like you wanted to have a whinge and are only taking in the information that supports that and then putting the blinders on for everything else.

Well it's a lot like your wife cooking you a lovely dinner for your birthday except during the entire dinner you spend the whole time going "there's no cake, this is a disgrace just like every other year" even though your children have been excitedly telling you for days that your wife has a lovely cake prepared for you in the kitchen but because it's not right in front of your face your only reply is "I'll believe it when I see it".

Comes off as negativity for the sake of it.

This window has been anything but "same old same old", so saying that is a pretty sad reflection on how you're choosing to view things.

I never mentioned the whole window though, everyone else has inferred that, including you.

If me being negative about the (possibility) that a deal for Skriniar never materializes/falls through is me being negative for the sake of it, then so be it. I know i'd rather we continue to push on to improve the starting 11 rather than look to buy more of the of which we already possess.

Same for the back up striker but this is the wrong thread for that.

Because things have changed from the winter window and the club have attempted to fill the gaps in the squad. To watch Bale, Reguilon, Doherty and PEH walk into the club (not including Hart bc he’s just for the homegrown quota) and turn around after one worrying tweet and go ‘ah same old Levy’ is stupid.
