Anyone else remember setting off early on a Sunday for a Sunday League game, knowing full well it's been pouring down all night and as soon as you arrive at the pitch the ref or groundsman will call it off?

Feels a bit like that the longer they leave it with no announcement.

They all have to self isolate for a couple of weeks now right? So we can’t just play the game next week.

It would cost £400,000 for Orient to test "significantly" as EPL clubs do, at the moment they're just doing the minimum they're required as it costs around £7,000 a round of testing.

The Orient chairman has also raised the fact that the Premier League uses a different approach to testing, with respects being reported on a scale as opposed to the EFL testing which returns a positive or negative.

The figures that they’ll make seem to go up every time it’s mentioned. If they hold off cancelling the game until 5pm it’ll reportedly have made them £8.6m.

I imagine the Orient chairman is trying to push the decision onto someone else. Maybe if the EFL cancel the game they don’t lose so much TV money. ?‍♂️

If it was our Sunday League then you'd better bring some wellies, because the only weather we didn't play in was lightning.

Well obviously, because it is not Orient's decision on whether to postpone the game or not, as they have an available team, but Public Health England in consultation with the clubs and EFL's decision

Postponement might be more helpful - means we can't play next Tuesday either (should we have won the first tie) eases our immediate fixture congestion with vital European games to play. Unless they do something stupid with the rescheduling of course.

Their owner wants to postpone the game so that we have to cancel it and not them, thereby its us that goes out.

Well he's a moron then because the rules clearly state that the team that can't field has to forfeit, if they decide to postpone it should be the team who can't make the original date who forfeits not the latter.

Remember it all too well.

Remember one time we were sat getting changed, the ref arrived in his car, went straight to the pitch, didn't even step onto the pitch, turned around and gestured that the game was off, got straight in his car and drove off all in the space of about 2 minutes. It had only just started to rain.

Gotta love Sunday league.

So there's won't be a match thread.

Just after kickoff time I think i'll pretend there's a game on and just start making things up. I'll throw in a few FFS Dele's, tell everyone what a particular player 'needs' to do, criticise the selection, start laying into the performance after three minutes and generally delight in all the negative aspects, possibly i'll even do a sneaky fist pump or three because my fantasy events vindicate another pop at Mourinho.

After all, it's what this thread thrives on.

If they think there's time to postpone and reschedule this match - they're in dreamland.

However, with our already completely disgraceful fixture list, I would not be surprised if it was played on the Monday, with the next round game on the Tuesday.

Don’t forget to demand unrealistic half time substitutions.
