And looks like this time it was done by the club instead of NBC. I might be wrong because its been quite awhile since I saw this last but I personally usually see some type of corporate announcement promotion on this particular board as cross promotion in lieu of general advertisements(as its Nasdaq’s board). So its interesting that the club was able to get a Bale promotion on here.
How is my comment spam? My US office is in time square and has been shut for months. I'm told the city is exceptionally quiet. Is that not the case?

I love how in his interview, he straight up says let’s go win a trophy or 2.

No other signing has ever done that. Not even José if I rem correctly.

Comparing our AON vs City’s, you will see that “winning” is what they all talk about, from owner to manager to coaches to staff to players and new signings.

Whereas this “winning” mentality has so far not been a culture at THFC.

José said at episode 9, he wants a team and club that wins and expects to win, every time we step on to the pitch.

As one piece of the jigsaw, Gareth will hopefully start changing that.

Also, you can see that once H’s goal was disallowed, Ings scored “twice” n we went behind against Saints, for a good 10 mins, heads dropped and the vibes were just not strong.

We need to build a squad (and fanbase if I’m honest) that will not let circumstances dictate state, and collectively - manager coaches bench players and fans - always rallying each other on.

Again, I think Gareth’s leadership and experience will come in handy here. We didn’t hitherto have many vocal outfield players who can arrest the mood n state and drive the team on.

Thanks - useful to know. I just find it confusing / awkward having to search through both sections to find a player thread. Yesterday I couldn't find the Winks thread (to discuss his performance, not whether he should/could be sold), and I'm still unaware of any ITK or reliable media reports about us selling him. o_O
In this case, we actually had ITK that he was staying :D

Unfortunately that spread to his thread which in turn spread to a spot of ITK bashing from the idiots who are banned from this part of the site.

Because we don't have transfer stuff in Spurs Chat and because we doubly don't have ITK in there we (after more than one request for it to stop) moved it in here. There's a couple of threads where that happened. It isn't always cut and dried as to why a thread might get moved.

That we aren't machines, have lives and sometimes, when we do get a minute, just simply forget/don't think to do it.
If you haven't got the stamina anymore maybe it's time to hang up the banstick.

You've had a good run, but maybe it's time to let someone more deserving like @THFCSPURS19 run the forum in to the ground.

that's a joke don't hurt me

People may laugh but I think we all know deep down that I am the heir to @Archibald&Crooks, if not @Rob himself. The immense reputation I’ve built at the age of 22 is unparalleled in football forum history.

what do the aubergines mean? I keep seeing them..

It comes from an old wives tale. Whenever someone moves into a new house they said that an aubergine would bring luck. So people used to gift aubergines as a sort of good luck charm.

Over the years the meaning has changed slightly and now giving or having an aubergine indicates good luck to yourself or another.

So for example...

Friend : "your having your mother in law over for dinner tonight ?"

You: "yes, her father in law is coming as well ????"

Surprised this hasn't been shared:

The club put up a video of every one of his PL goals for the club (so far).

I still can’t believe this has happened. The effort involved in all parties to make this complex deal happen has been extraordinary. But more than that, with the exception of Messi and Ronaldo, Bale is the biggest footballer on the planet. I’m sure he’d have had a line of suitors offering similar or better deals. It’s remarkable he chose us and I can’t wait to see him on the pitch, running at the opposition- Bale, Kane and Son. That’s absolutely terrifying

Well, IMHO, he knows that Real never truly appreciated him and that he'll never be one of their "greats", but he's already a legend for us and he knows that by coming home, we'll immortalise him like no other club will. Every man wants to leave behind a legacy and Bale's legacy will live long and bright inside THFC.

Which is at odds with the money grabbing persona people were keen to apply to him over the last two years

We probably couldn't make it happen last year for any number of reasons we're not privy to, which is why he was probably looking for any way out, even China. This year, however, we can make it happen (probably because Real have become more desperate) so the boy grasped his opportunity. ?

I'm building a statue of him for my garden.
