Christ. This is bonkers.

If I were Harry Kane my reaction to Bale's signing would be:

"Finally!! Some fucker in the team that might actually be able to provide me with some decent service!"

I would imagine there is an AWFUL LOT of mutual respect between Bale and Kane. Both natural finishers, both have a very intelligent game, both world class.

If these two click, (which I should imagine they are relishing the opportunity) they'll be absolutely deadly.

I can imagine them setting each other up for fun tbh.

Kane slides a through ball and probably will think, "Go on Gareth get on the end of that fucker mate!!"

Bale skins a man, pings in a cross and probably thinks, "Where are you, H?! Smash that one in!!"

I doubt there'll be any animosity.

I wager that they cannot fucking wait to play together, because both will enhance each others game. Kanes passing to runners etc, Bales delivery and vision etc.

If they stay fit, and providing no **** tries to hack them, as a pairing they'll be fucking lethal because they both have the intelligence in their game and self awareness to realise the above.

Also Kane was a youth player when Bale was at the club, I'm sure Kane has huge admiration from seeing what Bale did during that time.

Er. I post something you don’t like / understand and I’m a WUM. sure. Good comeback.

Surely Harry *I want to win a trophy* Kane (Spurs fan) will be pleased that the chances of us (and him) winning a trophy have just greatly improved?

Or do you think he wanted Spurs to stay on the same level? Just so he can still be the one and only world class talent here?

He can't be that much of a snowflake surely?

Most of the guys at my work seem to rate Son more anyway...

I think Kanes biggest issue is that he is getting older and still has not won shit in his career. I think that worries him more than being the star of the team or scoring only 20 instead of 30 a season.

If I play a game I want to be succesful and get one of the best players in the world on my side I would be absolutely delighted. I would feel my boss has the same high ambitions as me and we can actually do it.

Mate, if you don’t understand basic human nature, no point discussing. You know exactly what I mean. Carry on tho.

I don't think anyone knows what you mean

Son Bagging 4 from 4 Kane assists could not have come at a better time. Every team we play will be so focused on how to stop them and then up pops this Welsh fellow on the other wing with all the space in the world when he makes his debut. When Bale is on the pitch no one can man mark us anymore no one can drop off because Bale, Kane and Son are pretty deadly with time to pick their spot from distance and no one can press too high as if Son doesn't time his run Bale will it is mouth watering and there is no way that Kane is upset about that he plays whatever happens he's the main man the better the people around him the better it is for him.

Is this staying in 'Transfer Rumours' until he completes his debut, just in case it's an elaborate hoax?

(An unlikely rumour about an existing player sees their thread move to Transfer Rumours within minutes, but a confirmed signing doesn't get moved to Spurs Chat - what am I missing?)

I think it stays until the window closes, at least that's how it has been in the past.

That we aren't machines, have lives and sometimes, when we do get a minute, just simply forget/don't think to do it.

Thanks - useful to know. I just find it confusing / awkward having to search through both sections to find a player thread. Yesterday I couldn't find the Winks thread (to discuss his performance, not whether he should/could be sold), and I'm still unaware of any ITK or reliable media reports about us selling him. o_O

I would rather let him build fitness a week more than later.
We win nothing if he starts not fully fit and is out soon again.

Sorry, I didn't mean it as a nag! My "hoax" comment was obviously tongue in cheek, but I was genuinely interested in whether there's a specific reason (e.g. waiting until the window ends), as this might help me to know which area to look under for player threads in future.

I was just coming to post this. Amazing the symmetry of his leaving and returning as symbolized by Time Square.
And looks like this time it was done by the club instead of NBC. I might be wrong because its been quite awhile since I saw this last but I personally usually see some type of corporate announcement promotion on this particular board as cross promotion in lieu of general advertisements(as its Nasdaq’s board). So its interesting that the club was able to get a Bale promotion on here.
