Apart from a back up strikers (as expected), do we anticipate any more signings?

We would all cream our jocks with another CB and CDM but is that realistic?

A back up striker (Edouard /Weghurst) an athletic CDM (Sangare) and a CB (Dias) turns us into title contenders.

How unrealistic is that?

Seems the usuals (Dan KP and AG) seem to think at least a CB and ST will happen

I'm happy no doubt but anyone else not certain he's going to be a success?

He's injured quite a bit and was even in his 20s

He's 31 now and speed has always been one of his main assets (granted he excels in alot of areas)

I don't want to piss on the jizz fest and from a sentimental point of view I'm made up but I'm not convinced he's going to smash it again here.

Not suggesting he's not going to be useful but I genuinely have no idea whether he's still one of the best in the world.

For anyone expecting to see a similar Bale to one that left - don't.

He's not the same player, however he's still a very good player and one that is much more experienced and intelligent than the one that left.

He still has a burst of pace in him, but he manages it well in-game.

He's still got a wicked long strike on him, deadly in-front of goal and in the air.

Really good to see a lot of our players are 'liking' the Bale posts from Spurs' Instagram account - and it's a lot more likes from our squad than when we signed Hojberg, Hart and Doherty. It's not just the first team squad either, it's the youth players too.

I think this signing has really given the whole club a massive lift. ?
This will be like what Bruno Fernandes did for Man.U I think. HUGE lift! :)

This past week is why I can’t stand the “lock the thread” brigade. Nobody makes you click on a thread so if you’re not interested or think it’s a pointless discussion than just stay out. But shut up.

I'm not a fan of locking any threads. I get why we need to do it in the ITK thread esle it's chaos but I even dislike doing it there. I don't think there's a good reason to lock something just because it's busy. That's basically the point of the site, to be as busy as possible.

The alternative though is that we're stricter with bans/warnings which I'm also not keen on.

You & me might have a face to face: Hoddle 4th! Wash your mouth out ?

I'm happy to admit defeat, I can only go by clips, I didn't watch him in his pomp. I just think from what I've seen Bale and Gazza physical abilities allowed them to be top3 in the world at their peak to go along with their ridiculous technique.
