People need to chill out and stop taking every piece of info as gospel. All info is passed onto us in good faith but I refuse to believe that we won't sign a striker.

As the ITK suggests, we are supposedly looking at a £40m striker if we can get the right price. That doesn't scream to me like we have no money. If the right striker comes along, I have no doubt we will sign them for the right price.

What will be will be, but there is no chance we don't sign a striker over the next few weeks.
Same. After what happened in the January window Jose would be within his rights to drop kick Levy through the window of his office if we don't, at the very least, bring in a striker on loan this window.

Would absolutely beggar belief if we tried to tackle this orgy of fixtures without a back up for Kane.

A lot of these players we are being linked with as targets are just if's and maybe's. Just names on a list of possibilities. It's the same every window. We make enquired about a lot of players just to see the lie of the land should things not progress with our more favorable options. All of a sudden it turns into "being out bid by team x,y and z) when the truth is all we've done is ask to be kept in the loop just in case.

Honestly I'm more confident we will get what we need this window, more than any other in the last 10 years.

Intresting indeed

Think Trix just saved a server fire at SC headquarters. Thanks for the update, it makes perfect sense with how we’ve approached all our other (fantastic!) signings this window. Jose is backed, players will come in.

In fairness to Levy, our biggest problem is that Newcastle and Villa have somehow been sneaking fans in to their games. We can't compete with that extra revenue.

We built a 1 billion stadium and took out finance against it we are in a very different position to the clubs who's stadiums are paid for our stadium is literally costing us money while its empty. The other clubs just aren't making any.

Because we have 5 games in 13 days with one striker who has consistently been run in to the ground.

Most hoped, I guess, that this would have been rectified as early as possible.
Would rather wait and get the best possible option, than be lumbered with some quick fix, premier league journeyman because it can be done in the next ten minutes.

Yup, I know we have loads of games in a short period of time but don't think anyone should be getting their hopes up too high in that we'll have a striker in before the start of the season. If anything, probably more likely in the last 2 weeks of the window.

As was shown in January this is a dangerous game to play, where we could end up being left empty handed.

I mean, Milik for 20-25m or some steal like Daka or Diallo for cheap is theoretically a really good buy and someone we’d be over the moon with. And they could be realistic options. The downside is slow playing it or trying to be opportunistic for the lowest fee possible means we’re sending Kane to Bulgaria two days before PL matches. it’s really poor risk management and shocking how the club doesn’t seem to have a plan of real targets. That said there are numerous opportunities for us to come out of the window with a really good buy up front so I’m not panicking yet.

That said, no clue how you could be encouraged by news as of right now. if we don’t get a striker I will personally create an account and DM dragon to hang Levy out of a window.

I suspect what most fans are reacting to here is the suggestion that having more than one striker in ahead of the season starting must be a quick fix. It’s been YEARS that we should have been planning this signing, not just now we’re a few days away from the season starting. It is remarkable, inexcusable and negligent. I can’t believe there is any context that makes this an acceptable scenario.
