Top 4 is over :( glad we changed the title of the thread or I’d be gutted right now.

The race for the top four is officially failed. Not surprising when you consider that this is our worst league performance since 2008-09 (the 2 points from 8 followed by Harry Redknapp season - AVB and Sherwood never did this poorly), but saddening none the less. All we can do is use the reduced number of high-profile games to concentrate on winning the title next season.

Why the big deal about top 4 now? It was never possible.

Top 7 is on but we have to beat Leicester!

That draw @ Bournemouth was always going to cost us.

And the 1-0 loss at home to Newcastle, Leicester away, Southampton away, Both Sheff Utd games, both Chelsea matches there are loads of matches :( next year will be different.

We need to win our last 2 and at least get 6th - 7th may not be enough even for the Europa League, and a team of this quality not reaching Europe is unimaginable.

It's a good result for us today, after City got away with it we never had a chance. This makes Europa qualification almost completely in our hands.

If the only way that 7th delivers a Europa League place is by the Goons winning the cup, then I don't want 7th to be a Europa League place. If the only way that we can get into Europe is by finishing 5th or 6th then so be it.

That will, presumably, also have the added benefit of the Arse not being in Europe next season.

I think you've got it the wrong way round, so long as arsenal don't beat city in the semi 7th is europa

The Europa will be dreadful. And for the first time, we'll see half-empty stadiums (although we might see that anyway because of COVID).

We sold out Wembley Stadium for a Europa League game just a few years ago. But that was when tickets were cheap and there was a positive atmosphere around the club.

I'm quite looking forward to Europa (if we get it). I like going to those dead games and seeing our fringe players getting a game. Also funny games like that time Kane went in goal always seem to happen in Europa

Not particularly enthusiastic, but if Kane can score a double hattrick in the Final to put us in the CL the year after, I'll be over the moon.

1-0 to United. As it stands, 5th will also become impossible tonight - Tottenham will finish somewhere between 6th and 10th, fighting it out with Wolves, Sheffield United, Arsenal and Burnley.

Looking forward to Europa, Best memories of our atmosphere and a Thursday night is a great night rather than a Tuesday as you can get on the beers. Good if you want to fly to Europe for an away game and stay for the weekend

But purely for there being more games to go to and at reasonable prices with added business for Spurs ????

Dream scenario is:

- We win both of our games and finish 6th.

- Chelsea lose both of theirs.

- Man Utd win vs So'ton and West Ham then draw with Leicester.

= Chelsea come 5th on goal difference. :sneaky:

A prospective Europa XI...

--------------------- Gazzaniga ----------------------
Aarons --- Kim Min-Jae --- Dier ----------- Cirkin
---------------------- Skipp --------------------------
--------- Gedson --------------- Winks --------------
Bergwijn ----------- Parrott ------------ Sessegnon

I'd personally be excited to watch that group of players.

VAR puts United back in front - Man of the Match again for them so far with a stone-wall penalty ignored and a 'level' offside given!
