Horrific. Thoughts go out to Serge and the family. I'm sure the club with facilitate any time off he needs. Didn't a similar thing happen to Palacios' brother? I seem to remember he was never quite the same afterwards.

Can’t help thinking that Serge may well have played his last game for us, given what’s happened today.

Hideous news, I hope the club give him all the support he needs.

Yeah, he's finished now. No way one could ever focus after having your loved ones being gunned down. Just terrible

I don’t want to be “that guy” but perhaps we could take a few days off discussing his defending and his performance against Arsenal?

Seems a bit crass and insignificant.

Absolutely terrible news, think it would be understandable if we didn't see Serge for a while. You come in here expecting a debate about a footballing performance and then to read what's happened, puts everything in perspective. Just horrible.

Should take compassionate leave for season.
We had exactly the same with Wilson Palacios, when his brother was killed by kidnappers.

Really sad news, hope from personal point of view it doesn’t have lasting affect on his ongoing career.

Oh crap... Poor guy - he was all proud of our win in his IG and then now must be feeling sick waking up to such heartbreaking news.

My deepest condolences to Serge and his family.

Awful for Serge, I went through the same thing in 2018 and it’s not something you ever get over you just have to learn to live with
