Winks and the fullbacks (wonderstrike from Davies aside) were lightyears away from good enough. What’s frustrating is that the average fan could have told you in 2018 that the DM and fullback positions desperately needed to be addressed and fuck all has been done about it.

Otherwise that was much better, however. The switch to 4-4-2 and putting Son up top has us looking much more threatening.

I’d hook Winks for Bergwijn and shift Sissoko to No. 6. Not sure what you do about the fullbacks, who are massive, massive, massive liabilities.

To be honest he never actually stays in the middle when he is meant to be there so to actually have 2 central midfielders who play there has actually helped a lot. I still am not sold on Winks awareness off the ball.
I've always said Winks needs the right partner. Lo Celso isn't it but he's a vast improvement on Sissoko there. Winks has played a lot better as a result.

You can't play him in a 2 though

He can come on for an impact - as can Bergwyn. I admire their effort but it’s remarkable how poor Sissoko and Aurier are as footballers. Very poor touch and awareness. We are a decent team but definitely need some investment in midfield. And at full back.

Amazing? No, but a good first half. Mourinho finally doing the right thing and playing Kane and Son close to each other

Not a chance i'd put Sissoko back in CM.

Spurs scoring first in the second half is huge. Need to keep the momentum going.

75% of the goals allowed under Jose have been done to individual errors or set pieces. That is terrible. (source was Last Word on Spurs)

If you hook Winks and push up players you better leave some defenders back

So let me get this straight.

The North London Derby is on and Sky have decided to put Alan Smith in the commentary box and Sol Campbell in the studio?

Are they just trolling us or what?

God. I didn’t realise Sky had brought in the self anointed football genius as a pundit for this. Insufferable. He would be banned from the stadium if it were up to me.

2 full backs are awful like well all know ! Well actually some people think Davies is good for some strange reason! Both need upgraded in the summer

Agreed, had enough of both of them. Aurier is a complete calamity and Davies is just so bang average. Cannot build decent teams around such 2 poor fullbacks.

haha, you're serious too.

Manager after manager has been slaughtered in this thread for not changing things, this one does and he's clueless.
Like I said, better to change than to stick with something awful. Better still not to have implemented said awful football in the first place. But don't get me wrong, it's a good sign for next season at least, and it might just be enough to recover Europa this time.

Davies is a good backup/squad player, the problem is, we now have too many of those types in the first team.

Not been a bad performance.

I can't stand our right hand side though, the clunky interplay between Sissoko and Aurier which slows the attack and leads to an aimless ball in the box... Pointless.

Better than we thought because Sissoko is kind of out of harms way. Well, still a passenger but you know what I mean...

can see a red for Serge, get him off and put Sissoko there, in the absence of any other cnt, then bring StevieB on wide right

still think we’ll get done unless something weird happens likeDavies smashing in a 35 yarder

I hear Arsene is doing the fake sound effects and Merson's on the editing board.

Since we're playing 4-4-2 we should consider bringing Japhet on for him imo. Aurier loves to get stuck in and if he mistimes another one he'll be gone.
As we are playing football I would suggest we fire Aurier into orbit as he would be as much use as a satellite as he is as a RB

Would like to see Kane dropping a little deeper and Son playing ahead of him more as Kane is really struggling for pace but son has plenty and Kane could play more of a creative roll as his passing is generally good
