Figured out a new Sissoko sanity check: how far back do you have to go to remember any CM with worse control of the ball who played for us?

I started watching regularly with Jol, and nobody comes to mind. This has to be quite significant regading how 'good' he is overall.

That would require that our forwards receive the ball in areas where they can shoot. That hasn't been happening more than once or twice a match. They're prowling around in front of the back four, but there are no penetrating through balls and most of the zillion crosses from the right are delayed so long that everyone is marked.
Is it because there are no through balls, or because our forwards have stopped making off-the-ball runs? Chicken and egg, I guess.

It's a derby. Losing is never OK. It's never not important.

I'm not saying it's ok to lose. I more so mean, if we were to lose, I would rather it be a game like this than one with higher stakes. Losing happens, we can't win them all. So I'd rather lose a game in a season we are both shit then lose in a match battling for top 4.

I know, what you are getting at but can you guarantee a manager change after this or do we wait for next season?
I'll make my decision after I hear

I'm not on the "Jose out" team. I'd rather wait a season and see what he can do starting fresh and with a few new players coming in. This squad is not going to do well no matter the manager IMO. The players have grown tired of playing without new players and things have gone stale. A new manager will not fix that without time and new players coming in.

Watch how many times Toby passes to Sanchez and Sanchez looks panic striken and just passes ball straight back to him.
Not a fkin chance Arsenal dont score at least 1 goal from us passing around at the back and fkin it up.

In my long post earlier in the thread, I suggested that our forwards haven't got the confidence to make runs because they rightly don't trust anyone to get the ball into an area. So yeah, chicken, egg and omelette.

I might just watch this thread on refresh instead of the match, it’s going to be dynamite in here.
Thats what I going to be doing actually. Ive got a report to write and its actually going to be more interesting than watching us play...

Having been a fan for over 45 years, there have been one or two occasions, when i actually wanted us to lose, in order for a change at the top. The way we have been playing these past 18 months or so, I'm almost at that point mentallly. I'm not saying I want us to lose, but you get where I'm coming from. Nothing to play for and as for bragging rights, well if the players couldn't give a fuck, why should I.

This time I want a change at the very top. I have been a fan of Levy and co, for quite some time, but my patience has finally run out. Sell the club if you don't want to or cant take us to the next level.

We missed the trick a few years ago. What a great pity.

Anyway, I know off point, but there you go.

How can successive managers not see that a Sissoko-Winks pairing is a clusterfuck?

we all know its not good. I'm certain JM knows its not good. But he obviously deems Skipp not goiod enough and ndombele cant be trusted. Therefore this is what he has

I have to say, not a huge fan of all the comments about “it’s not about finishing above Arsenal”, “Arsenal aren’t our biggest rivals” just before the NLD. The players shouldn’t need the fans in the stadium to be motivated for this game. I’d like them to be seeing this as an opportunity to finish as high as we can and a marker for next season, just like City did when they stuffed Liverpool.

I cannot remember a game where I have no faith in our ability to turn up and play. Our midfield is so bland.
