Amazon Documentary, a contributing factor to our woeful season?

I watched the trailer. All I can really say is that it is fucking embarrassing.

Really enjoy that Daniel Levy, a man who doesn't give interviews and only speaks to the fans when he absolutely has to, seems to be in a state of pure ecstasy talking to Amazon camera crews about recently ditching the man who took the club to its first ever Champion's League Final. I bet he couldn't wait to get into makeup that morning.

anyone else think amazon have got the rights to a second season, this is the decline.... and then next season they'll be filming the phoenix rising from the ashes to dominate domestic and European football for the foreseeable future.....:cautious:

Does anyone have any knowledge as to why we agreed to do the documentary?

Did we believe our own hype and feel like we would have success, even though we have been on the decline for around two years now? Or was it a money thing or something to do with getting friendly with Amazon for our stadium name?

Seems bizarre that a club which is regularly known for coming up short and with no trophies in the last 12 years would actively take part in something like this.

Not really that hard to work out is it? Yes I'm sure we got paid to be in it, but it's far more valuable in terms of exposing the club/brand to a massive global audience, in the USA especially.

Obviously the catch is if we come across as an unlikeable club then it can damage the brand in much the same way.

Well, I won't be watching the trailer or the documentary, why anybody would want to replay this nightmare is beyond me.

Do we get payment based on the viewing figures? If so, it would make financial sense to sack a manager mid-season. FAR more people are going to watch it because we sacked Poch and hired Jose than would have watched it otherwise.

It will be very painful to watch, but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist. Might need a couple of Valium’s before hand though.

I don’t think it would have created a problem but it could have been fuel on the fire.

I’m actually really looking forward to it, it will be nice to see things behind the scenes instead of guessing about what happened.

City winning everything is like a stereotypical American sports movie. Interesting, but cliche and nothing new. To make something to get the hits, Amazon will have wanted something grittier. Something of a different genre. Now they'll want fights, meltdowns, temper, despair. If we beat Arsenal they'll probably end the season there and position it as a "they got through the toughest of seasons to win the most important game of all", but if we lose they'll more likely have their camera crew throw an egg at Mourinho from behind Ndombele's back to make it look like he did it and then film the fight afterwards.

This is going to be a great watch - but we as Tottenham fans are not the target audience.

I doubt we will get the 'full' story on anything. Betting Levy has final say on the edits.

We'll end up coming across as a complete cuck of a football club. This is like the DVD all over again, only this will stick in the annals of time.

We do it to ourselves.
