One of the most worrying aspects for us is the lack of top quality youngsters coming through the academy, compared with our erstwhile rivals.

I know i could rattle 2 or 3 players from the rest of the so called top6 who have broke in over last 2 seasons but so far for us only tanganga

He's masively off the boil, which is to be expected. Some have said that he doesn't get the service, that is true, though he could be doing a better job of making himself available. He seems to be hell bent on marking a centre half, playing with his back to goal and getting in a tussle which he, more often than not, loses. I have no doubt he'll come good again but I don't think he'll ever be the player he was 2 or 3 years ago, too many injuries have taken their toll.

If you don't move as a striker, people won't find you - on saying that having to drop deep and then have no one to look to play it too would also be a problem i'd have thought.

Rashford, Vardy, Sterling, Sancho and Ings have been better than him this season.

If he wasn't England captain his starting place would be in doubt. The good news is the Euros is put back to next year giving him another year to try and rejuvenate himself. The bad news is it's another full season for Greenwood and Foden.

He is in danger of being left behind.

Pretty clear the whole attack just isn't functioning at all right now.

We don't have players with excessive pace to hit on the counter.

The inside forwards don't get in behind the full backs and provide service to the striker.

There is no interplay from the midfield.

The team is a dysfunctional mess. When that happens the individuals don't perform the same.

I see him leaving this summer... Greenwood is looking good already and it could very well be the case that Harry plays next season in a shite team and doesnt perform anywhere near the level required to play for England next summer

I think a year ago there was a list of players who we would have been devastated if they left. I don't think there's a single player in that list anymore.

If he hands in a transfer request I can't see how anyone can blame him. We are so far off the level we need to be for him to stay and this summer's transfer activity isn't going to be the one to convince him otherwise.

He scored 10 goals and had 5 assists for England this season.

I thought he was poor tonight as were the whole team

There are question marks over his long term fitness and I am not sure that anyone will pay what it would take to get him off us if he did want to go

We badly need to find a way to play to his strengths

Genuine question: can anyone remember the last time he put together a great run of performances? I don't mean goal scoring runs, but actually playing like a genuinely world class player and winning games almost single-handedly.

Exactly this. That's why I'm not looking into his current form too much. Like I've said regarding other players, stick him in the Chelsea or United side and he'd be scoring goals still.

No doubt in my mind that he would be a guaranteed success at any top club. We need him far more than he needs us. Cannot entertain the idea of selling him, we need to build a team and structure in which he can thrive.

Adding to this after tonight's match, look at the Southampton strikers especially Ings - scrapping and running for everything, doing the channels, pressing and closing down consistently, competing for stuff they barely have a right to win, working back to their own penalty area and throwing themselves in front of the ball. Just an all round work rate over 90 mins that is infinitely better than current version of Kane.

If he was doing all this, giving his all, and getting let down by his team then I'd have sympathy for him and agree with the comments by many that he didn't deserve to endure it and they couldn't blame him if he wanted to leave. But he isn't, so I dont.
I bet you he’s not doing that because:
1)he’s just back from a serious injury
2)he knows he’s our only striker so if he gets injured we are even more fucked

We could have though. For some reason Poch lived under the delusion that those lads would suddenly walk out as PL ready players one day, with no loans and no game time. Beggars belief really.

I miss the Redknapp days. I seem to recall he used to play almost full teams worth of young lads in cup/Europa games.
