Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Matic, Lindelof and Bailly (not phenomenal but pretty good players) and Fred is a good midfielder. Lukaku had a good season but admittedly not very good since then.
It's well known that Pogba was a Club signing forced on Mourinho.

Ibra yes, Matic yes both he knew already, the other 3 are not very good imo. So 2 good players in 3 years, plus how much spent?

We didn't sack Poch for his good years, but the bad times. 22 final games as a comparison.

22 games - 6 wins - 7 draws - 9 losses
Pochettino 1.13 PPG

That's what Mourinho inherited result wise. From a burnt out, demoralized group of players. A good start leading into serious injury crisis before a 3 month break due to a pandemic.
Sherwood didn't take over a relegation threatened team, he took over a decent yet boring team that had a tendency to be trashed by the best teams.

That said football isn't chess, results don't come from managers moving their players around. It comes first of all from the quality and form of the players themselves. And we got a job to do there.

There's not too much Mourinho could have done so far, and the health status of our squad is first of all down to Pochettino.
Are you serious?

Right now to stop this turgid shit I’d take any of:
Chris Wilder
Nuno Espirito Santo
Ten Haag
Nagglesman
Simione Inzaghhi
Graham Potter

And if none of them fancy it then :
Robbie Keane and Jonathan Woodgate with Tim Sherwood DofF ?

god I really just don’t care anymore

Not even the Saudis will pay the money Lewis would want - you can get Newcastle for around £250/300m you could spend a billion on players, training ground new stadium and still fall short by £750m on the cost of buying us
Can you imagine having to negotiate with Daniel Levy over the purchase of the club? If you thought that selling a player was enough to turn your hair grey.

Seriously though, people need to forget DL being relieved of his position or ENIC selling - it's just not going to happen. If Jose doesn't get the results at the start of next season then he will be gone and someone else will be saddled with an ever more difficult task.

Mourinho.
I said poch was making this cheaply put together collection of players look way way better than they are like Ferguson would and Wenger to an extent

That levy and the players should be the first out the door than the man who worked miracles with a club that has been nothing but mid table meh for the the majority of the league's existence.

But you got what you wanted , tactical genius Jose who will get this great best in my lifetime group right back flying...

I think fundamentally the issue is ENIC have failed to put a continuous system in place.

Under Arnesen and Jol they spoke a lot about playing 433 at all levels and put focus onto technical ball players. Essentially they wanted to turn us into the classic Dutch team.

Once Arnesen left he was replaced with a DOF who bought high quality players, often young, with little sense of how the team would function.

Since then the buying has been all over the place. Ramos to Redknapp to AVB to Poch to Jose. The current squad didn't appear to have the qualities that Poch liked and now we have a completely different style of manager.

I don't think any manager could really come in right now and solve this.

The buying plan has to be right. At the moment a Redknapp buying style of "fill the gaps" is definitely required. Hopefully Jose is in constant contact with the board to let them know what he needs to turn this lot into a team.

But another management change isn't what we should be focusing on right now.

Naglesmann really stands out to me. You could imagine a real fresh young positive vibe around the club if he came in.

Mabye we should all call it a day until
He’s gone. He’s killing any joy of supporting spurs.

All true apart from we should also get a manager change because this is impossible to watch.

We all know you love Pochettino and can't let him go. It's akin to a first crush on that lovely Spanish speaking girl in your 4th school year when you are 9 and ... Well I'll stop there.

I'm honestly surprised he 1, came to Spurs and 2, is hanging around. I'd honestly have thought he'd want to maintain his career success record - going to Spurs is never going to do that for you.

Win percentages down, going to be the only club he never wins a trophy with. I think he'll look back on his time here as the biggest mistake of his career.

I think the ambition is gone and he’s happy to take the money

Maybe. I have no problem with fans not wanting Jose. But I think when you hire an experienced manager like him he should be given at least a summer transfer window and see how next season goes before considering a managerial change.

I have generally been an ENIC fan but the current mess is more on them than the previous or current manager.
