Taking into account Harry could be leaving either this summer or next, no funds for spending, too many players not good enough.

The way I look at it is, if we are, it won't be as difficult to be a Spurs supporter because the expectations are lower and therefore it's easier to take the highs with the lows. We might no also bin off the FA and league cups every year and occasionally experience some long overdue glory

Depends what you mean by mediocrity. I can't see us mounting a title challenge any time soon, but I still think we'll put together a decent squad. Whatever you think about Levy's ultimate intentions, it's bad for business if we're not competing in the CL every season so he's got a vested interest in us remaining competitive, unlike e.g. Kroenke who isn't overly bothered either way.

Makes a change from the previous three decades of living in the doldrums, revolving door managers and plain and simple sorrow.

It's a leading question, but considering there are some new players in town like Wolves and soon Newcastle, while Leicester were better than us, then shite, then invested, and are better again, Liverpool and City are out of sight completely and Chelsea are investing in their young team, it doesn't look greatly promising. It's hard to see what our strategy will be to claw back into the race. The only saving grace is Arsenal also have owners who prioritise money so they may be down there with us.

Look at it like this - you'll lose the day trippers, the plastics, the casuals and home games will be full of people who want to be there. It'll sound like the inside of a wind tunnel if any of you are allowed to stand up and sing, but at least you'll know in your heart of hearts it's your club and that beer and sausage roll made it all worth it at half time.

Our revenues even without CL football are substantially higher than Newcastle, Leicester, Everton and Wolves. And Newcastle will be limited to the amount they can spend, even if they get a Saudi owner.

So on paper, we should still be in the Top 6 more often than not over the next decade. That's not a title winning side, but it's also not mediocrity.

However, I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with Levy's ability to successfully manage the footballing side of the club. It feels like we've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, these last few seasons.

Perhaps Levy has a legitimate excuse in the fact that he needed to focus more on building a world class infrastructure off the pitch. Fair enough. But even before the stadium project, he was always a bit scatter-gun when it came to managers, DoFs and player recruitment. And 1 trophy in 20 years isn't that great tbh.

So who knows? I suspect that the money coming in will keep us in the top 7 on a regular basis, but Levy not having a real hunger for success will leave us with no silverware during this time.

I think the difference between us and the others;
Chelsea have better draw and better scouting than us - they are now way out of our league
Wolves and Leicester have better scouting
Arsenal have better draw than us

If Arsenal sort themselves out they could be a force; Wolves and Leicester will ultimately lose their players to bigger team.

Are you Levy in disguise?
