I don't know where we go from here. We have an unbalanced squad, a manager who's a winner but needs a big cheque book and a chairman who wont satisfy the managers itch.

It all just seems like a bit of a pickle.

It's hard to see a path or plan for progress.

The only crumb of comfort I have is Ndombele, Sess and Lo Celso all performing next season.

Its ominous.

And the likes of Skipp, White and Cirkin hopefully getting some minutes as well.

More than 10 years

You can argue the AVB/Sherwood season (13/14), we still finished 6th

We can argue the 2 pts from 8 games Ramos/Harry season (08/09), we were actually showing the promise of a good team the second half of that season and it proved to be a springboard for a great following season.

We can argue the Jol/Ramos season (07/08) but we won a cup so ... no.

I genuinely think we're going back to either 03/04 (Hoddle/Pleat) or 04/05 (Santini/Jol) since things were last this bad.

Yeah I agree with you, to be honest when I said ten years that was my brain making a rough estimate of how long it feels, the general malaise I feel around Spurs at the moment means I couldn’t be bothered to work out the actual time! ?

I knew all had turned to shit just before the restart when some fuckwit turned up and said it was 1500+ days since Arsenal finished a season above us.

Stone bonk certainty now.

Yep. Arsenal are nailed on to win the cup. Any team they play, will have an 'off day'.
I'm starting to believe teams are just underestimating them when they play away, assuming they'll just roll over and have their belly tickled. I would have literally put money on one of Southampton, Sheff U (despite being the cup) or Wolves beating them in the last week or so.

Maybe we're all underestimating them.

Arteta is doing the right thing. He’s saying the right stuff, he’s freezing out the egos and he’s playing their youngsters. They’re pressing, they’re patient, they’re creating chances. They still make individual mistakes (Luiz) and a lot of those players need shifting out but they look like a team. They need investment but we’re kidding ourselves if we think they’re a team in disarray at the moment.

I really dont think so - credit where its due, you can see what theyrre trying to do and Arteta will be that kinda guy that coaches and develops players...

I personally think we are just shit and easy to play against... just to bring it back to us... God we are horrid

Playing away games behind closed doors helps. There is no real home advantage anymore. No crowd to pump up the home team and pressure the away team. It's a training ground atmosphere which suits Arsenal perfectly.

If Chelsea are actually looking to sell Zouma we should definitely try to buy him. Quality CB imo

Southampton and Norwich basically gave them 3 goals, that's how they won those games

So in 4 days you have gone from all our centre backs are better than theirs, to wanting to buy their fourth choice centre back ?

Haha sky now putting arsenal and Sheff Utd in the race for top four. Last week before all the games we weren’t mentioned at all or put in those remaining game graphics. Not that it really matters I just find it funny how petty sky are.

Well at least with Leicester winning it makes it real tough for Arsenal to get top 5.

The only thing remaining for us now is the NLD derby, and having the opportunity to deny arsenal top 5.......wow that is depressing

Even more depressing is realising Arsenal will probably win that game :notworthy:
