I have zero interest in the season restarting. I think for myself I have more important things to be doing and looking out for instead of following spurs as much as before. I guess everyone is different and some will be looking forward to some kind of “normality” returning. I have no problem with it, but it’s just not a priority for myself. Hope the lads go out and do well ?

Interesting the doctor leaving he’s the guy that saved that player who collapsed at WHL forgot his name. Maybe he spoke up about the return. Seems like it wasn’t totally amicable.

I understand the sentiment but it’s not really an either/or thing is it? It’s 1.5 to 3 hours of time a week if you only watch the matches. The equivalent in time of a shortish or longish film depending on the number of matches that week. I’d bet the average internet user in the UK spends far more time browsing social media, Amazon, YouTube and similar.

Granted, many fans spend much more time (and effort!) following the club than just the time spent watching matches. I am inclined to see this as a separate issue. However the pandemic has undoubtedly brought things into perspective for a lot of people- and that’s great if it means peoples quality of life and relationships improve as a result of not taking football so seriously.

I agree with what you are saying, that’s why I said everyone is different. It’s a personal choice for myself as I don’t really agree with it coming back just now and a complete rethink on how I’ve lived my life previous and how much I’ve changed in a short space of time. Guess as you have said it’s put things into perspective for a lot of people in different ways. At this worrying time football is not a priority for myself, the well-being of my family is but that’s a completely different story from footy.

That is quiet possable, as in an earlier tweet he does say football shouldn't return till september at the earliest. Theres also a tweet from Fabrice Muamba, thanking him for saving his life that night, so I assume this is the doctor who was there to watch the game, but ended up running down onto the pitch to assit, if so, I never realised he ended up employed by the club!

He said he has been with us for 14 seasons, so would have been on our staff during the Muamba incident.

He was the lead paramedic at that game

Yes just realised the doctor who was there as a fan was Andrew Deaner, and Pete Fisher is a paramedic, that was a part of the pitchside care team.
