It was reported in the media here

But I'm guessing that's still made up?
Not about what Kane is earning, it's about this bit:

"here’s £300k a week Kane and we won’t be buying any players for three years - not good PR is it ? Sometimes you can’t tell the truth."

The bit about "not buying any players for three years" because we've given Kane a payrise and this being "bad PR".

That's the made up bit. So his point is ridiculous.

Well I didn't expect him to have gone to Levy to get the quote...

The point he was making is still valid imo.

The fella making a comparison of Scholour and Levy is way out of line for all the faults I find with Levy I have to say all his moves he makes are in his eyes for the good of the club .
For those that don't know Schoular took over the club using some very dubious means and the club was solvent he then became the first chairman to float the club on the stock exchange . Now my memory may not be exact but it was for £22million which at the time was a vast amount making us the richest club in Britain . He the proceeded to squander this money plus getting us into £9million in debt he was also responsible for the selling of Hoddle Waddle Gough Allen Roberts and many others leaving us with a poor team . he was the reason our second best manager left the club Burkenshaw " there used to be football club over there " He sold the training ground he did some deal for the stadium so that we did not own it any more .Yet still when he left he made a profit on what he paid the Richardsons .
Sugar put all the finances right Brought a new training ground brought the stadium back to club ownership and built two new stands .
His only fault was he could not choose a good manager .
As I say Levy has faults but everything he does is with the intention of improving spurs football club .
For Scholour read schister.

I honestly think if somebody completely neutral was marking the top 6 owners out of 10 over the last decade.it would be something like this taking the whole picture into consideration:

Liverpool - 9 only reason it’s not a 10 is I think they missed a trick on the stadium which I think they will regret in 10-15 years. Had a real opportunity to compete with Madrid and Barcelona and build a 75k stadium.

City-10 leaving aside current issues they couldn’t have done much more.

Chelsea - 8 too quick to fire managers and should have sorted stadium. But plenty of silverware.

United- 3 personally I think it’s a house of cards that’s gonna financially come crashing down. Been a shambles since fergie.

Arsenal - 3 Held on too wenger to long. Lost star players failed to reinvest in the squad adequately. Been a slow decline.

Spurs - 7.5 Off the pitch it’s a 10. On the pitch they stumbled around and found Pochettino. Probably didn’t invest at right moments. However as a whole from 10 years the club is transformed.

So all in all are ENIC perfect no, but it could be way worse.

Wonder if the board are going to have an open top bus parade through Tottenham with levy holding up the company accounts.
Power Point Presentation on the side of the stadium, you'll get all the graphs and the spreadsheets - he'll treat you and spoil you at the same time.

Twitter will be fun to watch when we announce the profits. They should be big unless the stadium delay and having to play at wembley was stupidly expensive.

We made lots of money in the CL over 4 seasons and committed to spending it last summer and possibly a bit of Januarywith Bergwijn's acquisition. I wonder what happens next summer - are we going to spend some of this extra revenue not generated by CL over 4 seasons?

Waiting to find out.

I think if we fail to secure CL football for next year, we'll likely reduce our spending

I'm almost certain that the fans will be very understanding.
Whether the fans understand or not won't really matter

All that will matter is if the lack of incoming CL money has a knock on effect on our ability to rebuild the squad and get back to the CL next season

It will surely make it more difficult

Although perhaps it will force us to develop what we have and make smart transfer dealings (similar to the business Leicester have done) rather than thinking we can fix our issues by simply throwing cash at it like Utd have attempted (unsuccessfully) in recent years

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Fair assessment.
