Antonio Rudiger says "racism has won" after he was booed by a section of Tottenham supporters during Chelsea's 2-1 victory over their London rivals at the weekend.

"Racism has won," he told Sky in Germany. "The offenders can always come back to the stadium, which shows that these people have won.

"It doesn't have to be me, it can be anyone else. They never get punished and in the end, I am the scapegoat.
"I won't give up, I'll never stop raising my voice. I'll always raise my voice, but in relation to this, I am alone.
This is interesting.
How can he know that 'the offenders' were in the stands unless he thinks he was racially abused again?
And he says he will always raise his voice, so the question is, did he report his allegations again?

And more interestingly, if he raised it with Azpilicueta, why weren't his allegations acted on this time?
Did his captain just ignore him? After all he now feels 'alone'.
It is reasonable to think he can't feel very happy about his own club not supporting him in his quest.

Think you need to re-read what he said, those are the bits in the quotation marks, before coming to a 2+2 = 4569 conclusion.
He hasn't said what you have jumped 3 stages to, and asked lots of further questions about

He was obviously getting booed because he made such a meal of Sons kick. If he genuinely thinks the entire away end was simultaneously booing him every time he was on the ball because he made allegations of racism he needs his head examining. You have to tread carefully because of the subject matter but it doesn't just give him carte blanche to say shit like this. "Racism has won"? Ffs.

It might have been obvious to you, but plenty of people, especially neutrals, would have drawn the conclusion that he was being booed because of the allegations that he made. It would've been much smarter to just ignore him.

I hope the ****s who booed him are happy that they've brought this up again, regardless of whether it was about the allegations or about the Son red.

Of course Rudiger was going to think he was being booed because of the allegations, it doesn't take a shrink to figure that out. The smart thing would've been to just let it go.

Unfortunately he was always going to be booed because people think he made the whole thing up. Now spurs fans will get called racists because that’s the narrative the media are desperate to spin.

Booing was always going to reopen the issue, the away fans should of just let it go.

Agree spurs fans are idiots, stuff like this and us chanting “We’ll sing what we want” show that we’re ignorant to such matters.

The one fault of Rudigers in this case is that he or Chelsea should've made a statement after the Met investigation closed, something along the lines of

"I thought I heard racist chanting and followed protocol by reporting it to my captain and the officials. I accept that I may have misheard given that nothing was found, but we have to stay vigilant and report all potential cases as racism cannot be tolerated in any form."

Some ****s would've booed him anyway of course, but he could've done more to put out the fire. Instead the ****s in our fanbase poured petrol on the fire and gave Rudiger a match.

It sounds like Rudiger still thinks that there was racist abuse. I think a lot of us on here have concluded that he simply misheard one of our chants, but I wonder if anyone's actually explained this to Rudiger, or even shown him a clip of the chant at previous games. If he's just been told that they couldn't find evidence of any abuse he's not going to change his mind on what happened.

Personally think you're all missing the point - the words 'Racism has won' is highly highly inflammatory.

Think about what he is claiming.

I think in a crowd of 62000 he hears someone chanting racist abuse . in this day and age anybody doing this would be found out as was the Chelsea fans with there racists remarks about Son . Well it is my right to say " I don't believe him " . I think he is a liar a a troublemaker .
You can't even fart in that stadium without being aware . Also as most of the security staff are black its an insult to them because you are saying they ignored racist remarks I don't think so .
He has previous for this in Germany with the same outcome but people in todays climate are scared shitless to say "I don't believe him " I suppose with the anonymity of the internet its easier to make this statement .
I still say " in all the years of going to Spurs I have not heard racist chanting " and have been called a liar but I refuse to go along with something that I have not heard just to please the people that see racism where there is none and its these " right on people " that should be looked at and there objectives .

disagreed because do not think he should have made a statement saying he accepts he misheard anything. As far as he is concerned he did hear something, just that the police cannot prove anything one way or the other, so case is still open., even though no resources are being dedicated to it now.

You do realise the Chelsea fans were arrested because other Chelsea fans reported them, nothing to do with our 2 stewards to every 1000 people or state of the art technology as you would like to think. If you think you cannot even fart, why do you think lip readers were brought into look at the pictures from the area, the technology cannot tell at all what individuals in large crowd are saying

Firstly why are you putting yourself through that ?

But secondly, Are you sure that is not the Spurs fans ?

We were singing You’re all racists at the Bridge, and also Racists and Liars to the Paolo di Canio tune.

Imagine the total lack of awareness of being a Chelsea player/fan, and complaining about racism in other clubs...

I do realise that it was the Chelsea Fans that reported the Son abuse and that is exactly highlighting my point that is this day and age you won't get away with it .if you are saying there was only a few stewards to police an area you may or may not be right .
But you must be saying we have no black fans because every non white person I know would never take racist shit in this day and age.
So you are saying the stewards the fans the police and the technology could not find evidence but it must have happened because he said so . Footballers are members of society and as such there are as many liars for whatever reason in there ranks as there is in society .
If you choose to believe this man that is your choice but I don't go by "choice " I go by the facts .
You and your ilk choose for whatever reason to believe this man . The facts which are one footballer says he heard racist chants or remarks or noises when the stewards other fans the police and technology could find no evidence .
And as I say I have never heard spurs fans using racist remarks because of that and because the stadium is partly with its technology designed to deal with such abuse .
Don't be afraid of saying if its the truth " I did not hear it " just because in todays climate " if he said it it must be true "
I know if I said " I don't believe him " or" I did not hear it " I am in danger of being accused of being in denial but I refuse to lie to fit the current climate and go on with what is almost a witch hunt .

He believes he heard it which is fine but like you said nobody else heard anything and for rudiger to hear it then I'm guaranteeing that 100s more would have heard it. It would impossible not to hear it unless 100s of fans and stewards decided they didn't want to speak up.
