I'd care more about other results if we weren't so shit ourselves. It's one of those situations where I feel we have to worry about ourselves before others. Even if others drop points I'm not sure how good a position we're in to capitalise.

The game against Wolves to me is a perfect game to have next, even if I can easily see us losing it. Very tough, but the type of game that can galvanise the team if we win. It's just really hard to see us sustaining any sort of good form though.

Absolutely. With the team in its current state the concept of consistency is out the window... Top 4/CL qual very difficult.

We've got more chance in the CL and the FA Cup.

in current form i can’t honestly say i can predict 100% that we will win any given game. looking at some of the fixtures we’ve got left, particularly against those around us (Wolves, Man Utd, Sheff Utd, Everton, Scum) i really fear we’re not going to pick up many points.

we could finish anywhere from 4th to probably 11th.

If he plays moura Up top against wolves he will get battered. Play him on the left wing to help contain Traore with preferably Tanganga at left back.feck knows who we play up front I can only see dele or parrot, my feeling is it’s time to unleash the bird?

Won't be long until Arsenal are above us - if that happens, I hope they get the Europa League slot. We could do with a season outside Europe and it would help next year them continuing to have that distraction.

Race for top 4 has become more exciting than race for the PL title these days with city and pool so far ahead of everyone.

This season has been so horrible and unfortunately I'm far too sad and emotionally invested. I'm dreading wolves and home and then Burnley ffs.

So irritating to see arsenal's youngsters doing well when ours, Tanganga aside have been so ineffective this year.

But all we will here is mind the gap and the great Tottenham collapse all the usual stuff associated with our failures.

same. i keep telling myself not to get too involved, but obviously it’s not possible. i also keep telling myself things won’t change, there won’t be a magical pot of money big enough to fix the squad in the summer. now that is possible.

it’s a shame, given our squad quality and injuries, that more of our youngsters haven’t been given the chance - Parrott, Skipp, Sess etc. perhaps they’re not good enough?!

It's typical that we finally spend a bit of money and every player we buy is firstly injured, and then Lo Celso aside have largely disappointed.

If Ndombele is judged purely on the minutes he's played, he's been mostly excellent, but you can't and have to judge the season as a whole and he's massively fallen below expectation.

Christ knows what's happened to Jack Clarke. He can't get a minute this season. Not holding out much hope for his future now either

Pretty disastrous round of fixtures for us this week

Not sure I agree. Let's be honest most were home bankers regarding the teams below us going into it. MannU at home vs Watford, Wolves vs Norwich anything less than a win would really have been a shock. Sheffield Inited dropping 2 massive points at home in what you'd regard as a home banker as well means that 33% of the so called gimme games came up short. It could have been better, it could have and should have been worse.

true to be fair, and we still have Wolves/Utd to play at home. I suppose our match against Chelsea was always expected to be a loss as well. Still in our hands somewhat I guess isn't it

I think that's what happens when you spend later than you should.

Obviously Lo Celso and Ndombele wouldn't have been secured a year earlier but imagine if we had have brought in a Dembele and Eriksen replacement a year earlier. Likely they'd be fully settled now and the team wouldn't be suffering so much.

Next season may well be the same. We'll probably have a shiny new DM and backup for Kane, but they'll likely take a season to settle and we'll probably find ourselves saying "imagine if we'd brought them in a year ago we'd be flying."

Constantly leaving gaping holes in the squad means we never quite get to where we need to be because the new players rarely come in and perform at their absolute best from day one, meanwhile new problems are developing in the squad all the time and we're caught in a seemingly never-ending game of whack-a-mole. The damage wrought by the 18 months of negligence in the transfer market has been incredible to witness.

I honestly don’t see where our next win is coming from, we’ve looked so poor the last 2 games & lack that clinical edge
