Winks has been pretty poor so far also. The pattern of our play suits Chelsea. We play it short, they press us, we play it long, they win the header, they win the second ball. And when we do break their lines, the man with the ball has nothing in front of him.

Every game we look like our tactics are to give the ball away constantly, not make any movement off the ball, and concede midfield entirely. Even the teams at the bottom of the league play well once in a while.

Why can't we press. Do Chelsea have that much better a squad then us? Sitting deep and ceding possession is such an uncomfortable dated tactic.
