Really don’t see how Lamela can start when that 20 minute cameo was after zero training sessions after injury. I’d start Ndombele and then bring on Lamela when he blows after 70 mins. I’d also consider using Sessegnon as a LWF which is his best position and why we bought him, but start Dele as he usually scores against Chelsea, and Ndombele and Lo Celso might actually see his ghosting runs.

Agree with the selection of players but I’d swap Alli and Lucas. Now that Davies is back I think Tanganga should be first choice at RB and we should ditch the lopsided formation. We just seem so much sturdier with Tanganga in the team, and Aurier venturing forward leaves us too open down that side.
We’re going to struggle for goals no matter what we do so for me the priority needs to be keeping it tight and avoiding the vulnerabilities that come with playing Aurier. Ndombele and Lo Celso can support the attack.

Yeh I think you are right and that Lamela might not be ready to start yet having not trained a whole lot.

Dele usually does well against the chavs, and he will be pumped up for it, can't see jose dropping him, i think jose will use his anger at getting subbed to get a real performance from him.... Fingers crossed.

Its not until you see the different lineups of our available players that you realise how bad the state of the squad is right now.
1. The missing striker is obvious, a huge problem but its been talked about to death.
2. Out of form players - Dier, Dele, Jan
3. Unfit/lacking match fitness - Lamela, Ndombele
Almost every lineup I have seen has all 3 of these issues in it and haven't even talked about quality. Chelsea are on the ropes but I can't think of a lineup that we can put out that gives me any confidence that we can come away with 3 pts.
