Toss up between Sanchez and Lo Celso for MotM but I went with the latter. He is such a tidy player, he's going to be great for us.

Lack of striker makes some of our attacking players look worse than they actually are

Then you change your tactics... are we goign to go the rest of the season playign this way and every press conference Jose is just going to come out with 'went to a gun fight with no bullets... our players can finish not like they cant... They just cant battle 6ft3in defenders...

Then you change your tactics...

To what? Tactics isn't compenstion for proper striker, especially when you have some key players who are dependent on playing with proper striker. Tactics can get you only so far.

Key rating here should be focused really on one person unfortunatley whiich is

Daniel Levy - 3 for not getting even short term option up front on jan window.

Lamela, NDombele, Lloris 8
Sanchez 7.5
GLC 9
Bergwijn 7

The rest pick any number between 4 and 6.

GLC is the only thing making watching spurs worthwhile.

Mourinho 1. Fed up of his negative tactics. He won't let us play. Not buying the this the only players we have. Energise them with good football.

This constant negative bullshit has to be mentally and physically draining.

Surely, playing like we were when Mourinho first started and working on the defence is the best way to play.

9 - lo celso
8 - lloris, lamela, ndombele
7 - winks, sanchez
5 - toby, bergwijn, moura, alli, gedson
4 - aurier
3 - davies

Jose - 1

This is not the spurs i know. Clueless, no tactics whatsoever. Weve been playing like this for far too many games already. This has to stop. Please. Please!

P/s - our home fans were terrible. Shouts of coys for 10 seconds then 15 minutes of silence. Terrible. Leipzig fans cheered all night long..

Lloris, Sanchez, Lo Celso and Winks all excellent. I voted for Sanchez because he was double jobbing covering for Serge.

Really frustrating having Lo Celso just watch the ball be hit over his head 40 yards up field constantly. These tactics of hoofball are not going to workout with out Kane on the field. It just puts our weak defense under constant pressure.

Not impressed. Got away with it but tactics poor. Tango for Aurier would have helped.
Sess, for Davies who will never make an astronaut, he's shit scared of space.

Stood out...... ...7/8......Lo Celso, Lloris, Sanchez
Stood up.............6+.......Lamela,,Ndombele, Fernandes, Winks
Left standing.....5..........Dele Toby, Bergwijn, Moura.
Stand up.............3...........Aurier, Davies

Playing for more than the last 20 minutes might have changed things. For the first 20 perhaps.

Watching Lo Celso with his lithe body and athletic almost animal like runs, his speed and guile confusing the opposition... only to be thwarted by his own team mates inability to keep up and or get ahead in order to probe the defence....and find that one single weakness in the Leipzig back four.....twas not to be..so onward to Germany for part 2 of this battle where Jose might find the plans he once had and use them once again ...and then, maybe then, the night and the victory will be ours!

Completely agree. It was even more apparent when Ndombele came on. Both he and Lo Celso were constantly coming short to get it off of Toby and were constantly ignored for a hopeful long ball that didn't come off once

There was some sparks of genuine quality play between that midfield 3. We need to get them on the ball much quicker and much more often

Yep, they can move the ball quickly & efficiently forwards. But theyre also aware of when to just play it simply and keep the ball. We invite too much pressure on ourselves and our defense isn't good enough to hold up under that sort of constant attack.

Lo celso, ndombele, winks and lamela simply have to start the next match. No 2 ways about it. We will see a huge difference in the way we play.

The remaining 2 spots can be 2 out of dele, moura, bergwijn and gedson. Doesnt matter who gets picked out of them 4, as long as the 4 i mentioned above starts.

Sanchez Lo Celso Lloris Alli Thought played well the rest were OK
Were you on auto pilot when you said that he played well? He was terrible as he participated in our dour performance of imitating headless chickens. He (among others) should have been taken off at half time

Davies should never be more than a back-up, and the thought that he is our number one LB in a Champions League game is depressing.

I notice how Davies while having a very poor game, was given a free pass, as no one has dared to criticise him for making that dreadful tackle for their penalty. Had that been Aurier.................................... (fill in the rest)!

my 1st visit since Poch was pushed, not sure I'll bother for awhile. even if we had a striker out there tonight I'm really not sure it of made much of a difference, cause we never hardly created anything for anyone

A few thoughts:

Lloris bringing his Champion’s League form, thankfully.

Davies a great example of a player seeing his reputation enhanced while injured.

Ndombele added a huge amount, including breaking the lines. I think he should start alongside Winks and Lo Celso while our attacking options are depleted.

Lamela did well too.

Moura might not be a bona fide striker but, to be fair, he works his socks off. Runs and runs and runs.
