Is parrott really that poor, or do we just have coaches with trust issues

Parrott’s just turned 18, and his idea of fighting for a place in the squad is going on the lash in Dubai with the son of a drugs trafficker a week ago.

I accept he didn’t know Son was about to get injured, but I’d safely wager that Harry Kane wasn’t out doing shit like that at 18 while trying to get into the first team.

You never know when your opportunity is going to arise, so keep your head down and work hard, rather than trying to reap the rewards of something you haven’t yet achieved.

Son hasn’t been playing at CF for us, Lucas has, so there’s no natural void been created for Troy via Son’s injury. The chances of Jose reshuffling the starting XI in a huge UCL game to accommodate Troy at this point are zero.

He’s got a golden opportunity to learn from one of the greatest managers in the history of the game while playing as an understudy to the best striker in the world and the most model professional you could imagine. But you don’t earn your place while out on the piss in Dubai.

I don't think you will ever see Mourinho playing young guys like Poch did it's not his way unfortunately. I can see Parrot looking for a move in the summer and Mourinho will probably let him go, I hope not.
Tonight I would rather see Lamela (and I'm Not one of his biggest fans) instead of Deli or even Ndombele and Tanganga instead of Arier.
Deli hasn't offered much lately and Aurier is an accident waiting to happen.
Parrott has just signed a long term contract. So a summer sale is somewhat unlikely.

What makes you believe Parrott is qualified enough to be a plan B in UCL last 16 match?

if we need a goal, who is more likely to come on, Erik or Troy? So why waste a slot until the BOY is ready.

just because his profile says Striker does not mean he should be playing ahead of established world players.
He won't ever be ready unless we start giving him some experience. I'm not saying replace Erik on the bench. I'm saying that as a highly rated striker who has already played for his country, perhaps it would be sensible, given he's literally the only fit striker at the club, to have him on the bench.

Poch playing kids is a bit of a myth! Skipp hardly played, Parrott never did. Tanganga never did even after a strong pre season
Just seems an excuse to knock Mourinho

He is a youth player with a couple of senior minutes and 0 top flight goals to his name. This is a champions league match.

if he was that amazing he would have been in the side regularly well before now.

Anyone listening to Clinton Morrison on ssn discuss the game? Bless him, he needs a dressing gown, some waterproof sheets and 24hr nursing care

He still our best player, even if he can play 45 minutes he should in a game like this.

super player but if you cannot complete 90 minutes you cannot possibly be the best player absurd to suggest otherwise...disappointed not to see him in the lineup though.

Looking forward to this.

Nice hot bath, then sitting up in bed, eating chilli prawns linguini watching the footie. No not naked, weirdo's.

Yeah, sounding like a right tart, but I've been dieting for ages so I'm all in and feckin looking forward to the bath, football and meal. :):hungry:

Leather hot pants, stetson and spurs.
Clean sheet is key
Clean sheet doesn't sound very likely for cider.

Two thoughts on this and I'm somewhere in the middle.

How can he get experience without minute as you say.

The other side is Jose watches him every day and can tell from his years of experience that he isn't ready.

As I say I'm somewhere in the middle. I trust the coaching staff judgement but would like to see him get some minutes

Linekar, Rio, God and Crouchy - this has really become the dream team for live matches for me. All three of them know what they're talking about, do it with good humour while still being professional about it.

So have I just imagined Tanganga starting vs Liverpool and City then?
The stock response to this will be: "He only did that because he had to".

People, I assume, are also ignoring that Gedson's in the fucking starting lineup!
