Hard to see where the goals are coming from now, considering Alli is going through one of his ‘couldn’t hit a barn door’ phases.

Mark my words, we will play even better football without Son. He has become more and more greedy with each passing year and has become deterimental to the overall teamplay. Poor first touch and not good enough to be a luxury player whose half arse about his defensive duties

This sounds crazy but with him out of action, i think Top 4 is now in the bag.

His all round game has been poor by his standards, but we will certainly miss his goals.

Big blow for the Sonny fan club , how many S Koreans have advanced bookings for flights, hotels & tickets and now no Sonny.

Really? There wasn't a single striker in world football we could have got in to do a decent job of holding up the ball and getting on the end of a few chances?

No one was expecting a Kane or Son replacement.
We could have got Haaland, I guess.. Would be great for us.

It's as if the whole thing has been scripted for the Amazon documentary. Mental stuff.
If we make CL now then Mourinho really is the special one

Absolutely. In January we were being linked with low level strikers and players from abroad who would take time to settle in to resolve our current striker problem.

I said in the short term Son would be better than the options we were being linked with. He is frustrating with not passing and he isn't good at holding the ball up but he gets goals and I maintain that for this season he would have been better up front for us than Piatek, Ighalo or the other players we were being linked with.
That low level striker is looking like a good option right now.

Messi broke the radial bone in his arm in 2018. Quite a bad fall and his arm was bent back
How long was he out........3 WEEKS.
Not sure how much different Sonny’s injury is to Messi’s but out for the season seems a bit over the top.

Problem with Parrott is it's the worst possible time to throw a kid in. So much expectation, it could destroy him if it doesn't go well. Have to think about his long term development.

There’s two ways of looking at it. The scenario you described is very possible, but on the other hand every fan other than the seriously delusional knows we’re fucked and should have no expectations from now on so Parrott has nothing to lose.

Have to take it at face value what Jose says about him not being ready though. He proved with Tanganga that he’s not frightened to throw a young player into the deep end if he feels they are up to it.

Seriously though, it's why so many of us wanted another striker in January.

Yes deals are tough but you just can't leave yourself that short and expect to always get away with it.

That's 70% of our goals gone. Only ourselves to blame.

And with Eriksen gone as well, we've got very little goal threat.

Jose is going to have to fix the defensive issues as we ain't going to outscore our opponents.

There are some rumours making round that it's his elbow that's fractured. If true that would explain why he'd be out for longer.

He's scored the winning or tying goal in 4 of our last 5 games...

I really fancied us to finish fourth but now I think we're complete underdogs.

Unless Dele steps up massively. Lucas just doesn't score enough.

Sounds like the Lloris injury. Only Spurs could have 2 such rare and serious injuries to key players in the same season.

Sorry, but that is literally one of the worst posts I've read on SC in recent times. You're in good company though, someone the other day was saying Grealish is as good as Gazza was. Actually maybe that shades it!
