Well for me, the way to play is to pack out the midfield with a 3 of Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Gedson, Skippy and then the front 3 will basically be Steven & Lucas playing off Dele!

Agree...maybe Lo Celso could be an option for the front 3 also.

Might be a blessing in disguise - either Jose will find alternative solutions or everyone will know we cannot score without Kane and Son in which case Levy has to buy another striker in the summer.

You have to wonder why the medical team allowed him to carry on half time - surely they must have known. Unless he just insisted on carrying on?

Well at least there will be plenty of tickets available for the rest of the season, I see Korean airlines have also cancelled flights, so that should keep extinction rebellion happy as well, see every cloud and all that ?

And before any of you get your knickers in a twist, I love our South Korean fans, they are a great addition, just trying to see the positives ?

There’s no way to know without an X-ray. If he said he was fine to play on, then they had no reason not to let him.

Theres absolutely nobody we could have bought in January that would make losing Kane and Son less devastating, grow a fucking spine some of you
Really? There wasn't a single striker in world football we could have got in to do a decent job of holding up the ball and getting on the end of a few chances?

No one was expecting a Kane or Son replacement.

I disagree. I think it’s a free hit for Parrott. Nobody in their right mind would expect him to come in a be an over night sensation. If he played some full matches and got 3/4/5 goals then that would be a great return. Basically he’s going to have to play a role whether Mourinho likes it or not.

Your premise is based on an it argument so if he doesn't hit the heights we were hoping for and totally destroys his mentality then what...?

The thing with Kane that I'm clinging onto is that his dad said he was ahead of schedule with his recovery.

As for the club's release about Son, they didn't say "a few weeks", they said "a number of weeks", which could be much longer even on the "optimistic" side.

Honestly do not think it is worth placing any expectations on Kane's return. History has shown that Kane tends to return early but always take a few matches to get back to any semblance of form which will already be end of season.

Best to plan for the rest of season without him and I hope Mou is brave enough to select a team without Kane even after he returns if we find a solution during his absence.

All those complaining about us being dominated in games and lack of possession , it may well get worse . Defend and counterattack is the only way we can go, we still have Lucas and Steve their pace enough to worry anybody, big test for Jose's tactics without both our top scorers, I am happy to be bored stiff and win 1-0.

So we buy said striker, he barely plays or when he does, he isn't up to the standard people are expecting and once everyone is fit again we have a player that doesn't play and everyone moans about us not being able to get rid of.

They tried to get a deal done on the terms they wanted, it couldn't be done.

If we end up getting top 4 after this then Jose is a genius. I just can’t see where the goals are going to come from anymore? Lucas and Dele can chip in with a few but can’t see them doing it consistently atm.

Mark my words, we will play even better football without Son. He has become more and more greedy with each passing year and has become deterimental to the overall teamplay. Poor first touch and not good enough to be a luxury player whose half arse about his defensive duties

This sounds crazy but with him out of action, i think Top 4 is now in the bag.

I look forward to the impending injuries surely to happen to Dele, Bergwijn & Lucas from being run into the ground over the next 4 months. This blows. Lamela, Sessegnon & Parrot as the rotation options for the rest of the season?
