Yes they would but not quite that loud. And if one oif our fancied players would have done it you wouldn't have heard a word
Don’t agree with that at all Ron. Had one of ours done it the vast majority of us would be saying he got out of jail with just a yellow.

Seen it often enough in the past.

Intent has nothing to do with it. Either it’s endangering an opponent or it’s not. It’s a stonewall red

See you say that but the ref didn't agree. VAR didn't agree. The pundits who both played the game at the highest level didn't agree. It was borderline. I can understand people think he was a red or not quite but stonewall implies it couldn't be anything other than a red. That is clearly not the case.

That must be the first time we’ve won when being officiated by Mike dean for about 10 matches.
To be fair, apart from the Sterling dive not getting punished, I thought he had a very good game.
You might argue that he should had given Sterling a straight red, but that’s subjective really.

My first reaction when I saw him was “ah Shiite, we’re gonna get screwed here,” but credit where it’s due, he officiated that game well.

I don't think so. I think most of the differential between City and Liverpool has been luck, finishing and Alisson. No chance they are this far off next season.
I agree. Liverpool have pretty played the same team for 2 years.

He doesn't go over the ball, and studs aren't up.
It's a bad challange, but I don't think there is any excessive force and does go for the ball.

His foot doesn't look like it ever goes above the height of the ball.

I think yellow was right, but is heading close to a red.
Not sure going over the ball has any bearing tbh.
That same challenge on another day can break a leg/ankle.
It's endangering an opponent...which is a red.

Now we are starting to look like a team that actually can win a lot of games. Chelsea still has Pool and City to play. We can catch them.

He was fine until we got Jose in and completely turned. One of those who couldn't see the bigger picture with Poch I suspect.

He clearly has an agenda against Mourinho, today he spent a couple of minutes bemoaning the fact that we’ve started playing safe balls back to the keeper to maintain possession and that we were much braver with the ball under Poch.

We did that all the time under Poch. Made him sound so biased and Poorly informed.

This wont be popular at all and trust me im ecstatic about us winning but that first half in particular was awful in an attacking sense. Defensively we have improved although we still give away chances but this is Man City but going forward we had no idea particularly first half. Is this not worrying even slightly? We cant just get Kane back and all we do is long ball it to him.

Ecstatic about winning and hopefully this will be the catalyst for a great second half to this season. Vital win. Tanganga was super impressive, Hugo was brilliant. Winks was good

you've all completely missed the point.

The story is NOT that we beat City, Bergwijn debut goal, 3 points, top 4 or Jose vs Pep

the real story here is that we won a game with Mike Dean officiating........a truly remarkable thing

This won't be popular with the football snobs on here but I honestly couldn't give a fuck how we play if we win something.

Tanguy will be the man who makes this team tick. It’s no coincidence he came on and suddenly Son found himself through on goal after Tanguy weaved some magic.

He and Gio are going to be an incredible partnership. Throw in Kane, who is extremely clever, and utilise the pace we have out wide etc, I think we’ll be more than fine

The person I quoted said he went over the ball, so was relevant to say he didn't.

Sterling goes for the ball, no excessive force, is in control (not off his feet).

If that breaks a leg, then it's just unfortunate, but it's just a late challange.
