Creative players have a negative side of them too. They are not as good at discipline.
Gazza was brilliant. Would you not want him. Ok his problem wasnt physical but still his genius was special

You aren’t comparing Ndombele with Gazza are you?!

I have massively high hopes for Tanguy, but he is miles away from Gazza currently.

The comparison is absurd.

No doubt, Tanguy could become special, but he hasn’t proven it yet. I still think he will prove the doubters wrong (and I know you are obsessed with him), but please don’t jump the gun with Gazza comparisons!

Never heard so much spoken about someone who does not play matches I think you are in the right area if you count the minutes he has played .
I desperately hope this bloke plays regular and fulfils his potential but I just have a bad feeling that this is going to end in tears by that I mean tears of the fans as I say I hope not.

Do we think he will be involved tomorrow? Would be nice to think that he might be able to start a couple of games on the spin at some point before the end of the season.

Reminder that he's suffered from a fucking groin injury, universally regarded in the world of sport as near the very top of the list of most difficult injuries to recover from properly. His fitness has got nothing to do with his mentality. This thread is an absolute disgrace.

I think there's a notion that he's thinking about it and not trusting his body to do what it will do. When I came back from ankle ligament damage it took me a while to believe I could twist and turn on it until I just did without thinking.

Jose said something similar I believe in a press conference a few weeks ago.

This thread is called Player Watch: Tanguy Ndombele! Nothing wrong with that

Also I’m sure Jose has come out and said there is no injury so we are all a bit confused

There may well be a small minority with ulterior motives and some dubious thought processes but the vast majority of us can see what a talent he is and we just want to see him on the pitch as much as possible

This thread is full of page after page of so-called supporters questioning the character of a player on the basis that he isn't playing, when the course of events (the fact that he has a notoriously tricky injury and has suffered two recurrences) quite clearly demonstrates that any hesitancy he had of playing during the festive period was fully justified. I'm sick of seeing post after post slagging off a player for an injury and I won't make any apology for speaking out against it.

Yeh we had the same crap with Lamela in the past.

Just how beautiful will it be next season with Lo Celso and Tanguy with a DM. I hope this is a groin problem and he overcomes it and shows what he can do and not a weak mentality, too early to judge. It will be potentially our best CM that i've ever seen if this comes together.

Not sure I agree with that 100%. And abductor injuries can be a nightmare and very hard to recover fully from. But there was an inference from Mourinho that he hadn’t actually suffered the injury, but instead was worried he would and as such withdrew himself from selection. That coupled with Mourinho clearly singling him out to ‘challenge’ him suggested that he needs to toughen up mentally. Mourinho then went on to praise Lamela who said something along the lines of ‘I may not be fully fit but I am ready to help you now if you need me.’ This coupled with stories that Ndombele has at times in his career not lived the life of a professional athlete, and the fact that even before his injuries with us he was blowing hard after 55 minutes, does suggest something needed to change.

Mourinho is famous for getting inside his players heads and where he succeeds he creates champions who run through brick walls for him, and where he fails his club lose very good players ... Pogba being the most recent ‘high profile’ example (I don’t include De Bruyne or Salah in that bracket as they were fringe players at the time). Jose seems to have softened his initial ‘challenge publicly’ approach, took him out of the spotlight, has given him a tailored fitness regime to get him fully match fit, has given him a nutritionist, access our sport science team, and i hope we will see the massively talented player we have all seen glimpses of come back into the team and be our star player who dominates central midfield.

He's always the player I enjoy watching the most too. He's so unpredictable and his passing is so exciting and unorthodox. Really hope he gets a start today - even if we get tonked I'd just love to see him and Lo Celso combining in the middle of the park.

How many games have they started together this season? Has to be less than 5

I'd be surprised if it was that many tbh given their respective injury issues. Also, Lo Celso has really started to find his feet in these last few matches so I think we've barely scratched the surface.

Whether Jose proves to be a success at Spurs or not, if we can get these 2 fit and playing together with a proper DM and Kane, Son, etc in front, we have the capacity to be a fucking great side in the next few years.
