'Audacious'? I've seen this word used in a questionable fashion a number of times recently re: signings.

Def: 'showing a willingness to take surprisingly bold risks'

'Audacious' is Bale. Not Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Nothing against the guy though - I always remember him having a terrific strike on him.
Surely attempting to buy a clubs almost ever present captain this late in the window would count as bold, surprising and a risk?

He's really good. Would love this.

I'm also very sceptic about how much truth it's in this but his contract ends 2021. So if they want a good fee...

It's a bit surprising sure, especially given we haven't seen any previous links. Just struck me as a little odd wording. Like it's something loads of football fans would be gobsmacked by the sheer audacity of Spurs to bid for the magnificent Pierre-Emile Hojgberg: Southampton captain!

I don't think it would be beyond a stretch of the imagination the player would want the move.

Anyway - not particularly important - just got me

Is he a holding midfielder?

Yes. Loves a tackle.

Hmm this would be a very good move to stabilise our midfield

which probably means it won’t happen.

Always impresses when we play him but feels like a total BS story. He's their captain and plays every game. We only seem to be in the market for loans too!

Probably from the same source as the made up Barca/Richarlison story yesterday...

words our of my mouth.

One thing to note, his contract is up in 18 months...
