He may or may not be better than nothing but I'm struggling to get past his former clubs tbh.

What's the deal with him at Chelsea?

He isn't playing and Frank says they need to sign a striker.

Did they all have a massive tiff?

They will get buttons for him but the cost of missing out on CL if he scored a few for us would be massive. Not a prayer, even if they wanted rid of him and we all wanted and rated him highly enough,

Frank doesn’t seem to play with a target man and usually more mobile strikers similar to Liverpool.

Giroud doesn’t fit for them.

Well you survived George Graham, Gallas and Adebayor, so I’m sure you’ll be fine.
I think I'll just about survive the experience but would prefer someone without the history he has. I was also uncomfortable with those you've mentioned.

I don't think my preference will have much bearing on the outcome but as it's a space for chat and discussion I thought I'd mention it and see if others feel the same.

Tammy Abraham is their striker - he is 6’3 and about as agile as a cheese sandwich.

If he does a job for us I couldn't care less if he crawled out of satans arse (which to be fair is only slightly better than the cesspools giroud came from)

While I certainly won’t be having wild celebrations over signing Giroud, given the choice of him upfront for the rest of the season or Moura I am absolutely certain that we’ll win more football matches with Giroud playing there.

Absolutely agree. Fucking joke. Wonder what the reaction would be if it was casual racism.

Something tells me nobody would dream of posting something like “but we’ve never had a black ex gooner, have we?”

(I know we have, but you get my point I’m sure)

As anyone who’s known me on here a while will have realised, I’m not easily offended - and just to be clear I’m also not remotely offended by anything in this thread - but that doesn’t change the fact it’s absolute heart warming to see the overwhelmingly negative response a comment like that gets from what I presume are a bunch of straight blokes on anonymous accounts where nobody really needs to hide their true thoughts.

Says a lot about the quality of the community on here and the decency of the vast majority of football fans, who regularly get unfairly branded as all sorts.

Nice one, you fuckers (y)

I don't care who he's played for or that he looks like Dylan's long lost twin. Just care that the guy can barely move.

If Chelsea are open to it there's a reason, as they're not going to want to improve us but if they think they can put us off getting someone better in then why wouldn't they.

Also with Abraham injured (if he still is) and no cover it doesn't say much about how highly they regard OG currently...

Doesn’t his contract run out in 5 months? Maybe they have seen the chance to actually get some cash back for a player not really in the managers plans rather than lose him for a free?

People seem to think we’d be getting the giroud of arsenal and France 18. We wouldn’t, he can’t get a game for Chelsea and is being chased by West Ham. He’s no good any more ffs.

I don't know if this is likely but if it does I'm convinced we'll see a 100% Giroud. He wants out of Chelsea because he's not playing and he wants game time with an eye on a place in the French squad for the Euros. He will probably conclude that he'll get that playing time with us even if only for the rest of the season but that'll be enough and that being the case he won't just be going through the motions.

Piatek couldn't get a game at Milan and was being chased by West ham.
