I wonder what their fans said when Barry Hearn said that West Ham moving into the Olympic stadium could kill Leyton Orient.
I guess we're more empathetic than them.

(I gave your post a Funny rating, nailsy, but it's a valid point).

Quite honestly that is fucking sad (and I hate West Ham). The very soul of a football club has been ripped from it just for the sake of the owners making money. Thank fuck we didn't go down that road.
I've some very dear friends that are West Ham supporters and, while I can happily laugh at the fan base as a collective, I really feel for my pals. They love their club and are devastated that things have got this bad.

Whenever I'm feeling a bit low, I think about the anger and outrage West Ham fans feel about their forced move out of the old Upton Park, into that soulless bowl they are being expected to call 'home'. They hate the place and they blame their three directors, The Dildo Brothers and Miss Piggy for enforcing the move into their new rented accommodation.

The fans are also mad crazy that the directors got a deal meaning they pay only a nominal rent for the London Stadium, so are raking in the millions, making them even wealthier than they ever were.

Also, according to one of the football journo's on last week's Sunday Supplement, West Ham's training ground is not much more than a few Portakabins. Basically, the directors are ripping the punters off, and what's even funnier, is that the fans KNOW they're being ripped off and they hate their own directors for shafting them by making promises about Champions League football.

Also, they are racist scum and I detest them with a rare passion.

Those directors pissed on their own fans backs and told them it was raining, just to line their own pockets and the great unwashed know it and are not happy. :)

But I for one am. It's a story which gives me great joy in times of need.

wow, what a headline

West Ham accounts describe Premier League survival as a financial ‘necessity’

Please get relegated
.

I laughed far harder at the last part than I care to admit.

I want them gone. Please let it happen.

I would very much like to see them disappear into League 1/2 Oblivion a-la Charlton/Sunderland or similar - down so far that there is no realistic prospect of them coming back within the decade etc.

Their uppity racist fans could do with a good few years competing with Grimsby and Torquay to remind them of their place - definitely got too big for their boots the last few years despite their troubles. They still have this underlying feeling that they’re a big club and are one day destined for success. Need that bred out of them.

Torquay have dropped into non-League so for WHAM to drop low enough to have to play them would be amazing.

I'd take them dropping below Orient though. I'd Keegan it if that happened.

Come on now, be fair.
They oversaw the most successful stadium migration in the history of the game yet they get no credit for it whatsoever.
That's not true mate and you know I continually give them credit for their wonderful migration :)

I don't want them to go bust, but fuck their fans.
The few I know are pretty moronic, and would be pissing themselves with glee if we were in their current position.
Admittedly I wouldn't call the few I know 'mates'.

It’s like any club - there’ll be dicks and decent chaps in there. I don’t know any Spammers personally; the closest I come is the cousin of my best friend’s fiancée who I’ve never met (the cousin, not the fiancée).

Agreed, the only fans who I truly feel sorry for are the clubs who risk folding.
Anyone else is fair game...so what you'll drop a division or 2? boo fucking hoo.

I do agree on that score. And when dealing with specifically West Ham, the only clubs I'd be happier to see that happen to would be Arse, Chelski, City (again) and Newcastle should the House of Saud manage to insinuate itself in the PL).

But outside of specifically West Ham, I'm worried about owners like the Dildo Brothers who piss about with football clubs. The majority of chairmen seem to be OK. For every Sunderland, Macclesfield, Leyton Orient, etc, there'll be ten clubs whose owners go about their business quietly and with no other objective than seeing their clubs do the best they can.

But there are still too many individual examples who do a City or Chelsea and warp competition or the Dildo Brothers types who seek to enrich themselves to the detriment of their clubs. It's a sad indictment of how weak and ineffectual the fit and proper test is for football club owners. But what else can we expect when we remain in thrall to the almighty <insert currency of your choice>?

We need a bulls**t emoji for stuff like this. Best experience my a**e. Soulless bowl!

Yes and it tortures all those poor West Ham fans that they were dragged kicking and screaming away from their beloved Upton Park into that horrible place, devoid of any atmosphere and where fans need binoculars to watch the matches. It's a pure joy for all us Yids who now call home, one of the greatest new stadiums in the world. I don't think those hammers fans will ever forgive those three directors for what they've done to their club, having made millions to line their own pockets with.

What happened to the fabled New Manager Bounce ? I asked when they reappointed Moyes don’t they recall why they replaced him first time round. Great big mess IMO and once again the people responsible (the Directors) will get off Scot free

As another example of what a shambles the club is, I was listening to one of the Athletic podcasts the other day and it was said that, since Pellegrini and his staff left, West Ham have been left with Sullivan, Moyes and one scout in their recruitment department.

Think about that, just 3 people recruiting for a Premier League club, at least one of which is a complete idiot!
