Why else would he still be involved in the setup when he clearly doesn’t want to be here?
Because Mourinho joined the club with no prior up close experience of any of the players, had to make quick decisions about who he could trust, and Eriksen was one of those who he felt able to trust more than the alternatives. Recently Lo Celso, Lamela (who was injured when Mourinho arrived) and to a lesser extent Winks have earned his trust and Eriksen’s role has been reduced. Hopefully Ndombele returning to fitness will have the same effect.

Not a chance in hell Mourinho makes any decision pre or during a match which isn’t what he thinks will help us win.

Yes and some people have said the culprit was Trippier and that’s why he was suddenly gone. Amazing how Tripps was here one minute then gone when all our other transfers take months or even years

Thinking about it has The Goat posted any info since the rumours began?

Is still not clear what trippier was hinting at when he spoke on trouble behind the scenes.

Trix has posted loads of info about how players were unhappy with tactics and that several players were ready to walk because Poch’s was too stubborn to listen. I doubt there's much more to it than that.

And clouds the memory.
In fairness, the minority laying into Eriksen doubtless did the same with the others as well.

Personally I want him gone as he’s playing badly but I have no doubt about his levels of effort or professionalism. Berbatov and Modric got huge amounts of abuse on here at the time. Bale was different. 1) he’d just had the best season any Spurs player had enjoyed in the premier league era. 2) there was no mid season refusal to play like the other two. 3) he’d been with us for far longer than Berbatov and longer than both the other two. 4) it was Real Madrid, not Man Utd or Chelsea.

One of these is not like the other two

One’s Judas
One gave up trying 18 months ago
One has been abysmal on the pitch and been vocal about running his contract down

In contrast you have Aaron Ramsey - told the club he was leaving but worked his bollocks off for the team. Polar opposite of Eriksen and Rose.

Judas said publicly he was going to stay and then didn't.

Eriksen was open and honest about his plans.

Rose has always been outspoken, but at least hes been honest too.

I take your point about Ramsey and I agree. Some players are different. Unfortunately Eriksen doesn't have that gene apparently.

Judas left for an arch rival and now makes digs at Spurs as and when he feels like it.

Eriksen hasn’t been open and honest... we’ve had ITK that if a move didn’t materialise he would consider staying. He verbally agreed to a new contract but then kept us hanging for weeks only to not sign it. Beyond the last couple of weeks he hasn’t once come out and said he’s leaving. In addition to that his performances on the pitch have been a disgrace which has had a massive impact on our abysmal form this season.

Rose is just a melon.

I dont disagree with Eriksen performances being abysmal.

And all ITK as anyone knows should be taken with the famous pinch of salt. If you choose to believe every word of it then thats your prerogative.

I don’t believe every word but we’ve told multiple times that Eriksen was pissing about.

Herc literally said the other day that Eriksen hasn't put a foot out of line (or words to similar effect) amidst the recent speculation and transfer discussions.

I get that you're disappointed he hasn't performed. We all are. His decline has coincided with our own. Its sad that it ends this way.

It's a shame more players aren't like Hazard or Ramsey because we could have done with Eriksen pulling us through the crap.

I was pretty annoyed with Eriksen right after the Norwich game due to the yelling at Sess but now that we know that this is over, I hope that if he does end up being apart of the squad today he gets a reasonable send off in what will be his last game. Now it's finally coming to an end, can appreciate the overall service not just the last year which has been frustrating for all involved not just us fans. I hope he isn't booed and can at least end on a slightly better note.
