I think a few will be pleasurably surprised around piatek. Was genuinely disappointed when Milan got him for £30m as he is a great fit for us. Ignore that stats for this season - there is a player in their. He is very aggressive and a great finisher and a peat. He will certainly lead from the top - interesting if you listen to José To what he wants - this guys fits the bill

Hopefully we sign him. Looks a decent player and with the right coach, can become fire.

I like the sound of being pleasurably surprised.

I’m unsure as to why we’re not looking at the Championship for a CF. Players seem to be converting really well and I think it’s a far bigger transition to come from the Italian league than the Championship. For example I’m more confident in Ollie Watkins coming in and hitting the ground running than Piatek - and if they’re not going to be useful for the next 6 months what’s the point. Might as well wait until the summer.

You got a fair point, I'm just sceptical to CC players who is banging goals and when they try out in PL they're nowhere near a 10 goals per season. Nugent, Gayle, Rhodes etc. have tried and missed... Not that I'm saying that Piatek could be better

Still annoyed we missed out on Che Adams :(, another sure-fire hit after relentlessly bagging in the Championship

Then again Pukki was top scorer in the championship last season and he's adapted just fine.
Its just a question of if the clubs fighting for promotion would let their best goalscorer go and usually the answer is no as promotion is worth far more to them so hard to prize away.

ITK etc sounds positive on this chap, his celebration may need some tweaking haha.

For every Che there’s a Pukki or Grealish (quite like the look of Cantwell but moving on). No one is ever a sure fire hit but coming from the Italian league has always been extremely challenging and it worries me. Just hope we’re looking at the Championship for talent too.

This guy fits the bill perfectly - young and a similar type of striker to Kane. Would be an excellent addition to the squad.

Our number 9 shirt is free, and he wears 9 at Milan so would make sense that he would take it. Getting a bit ahead of ourselves though, don't buy the shirt just yet! Especially as Bale might want number 9 (y);)

Thanks for sharing,

Hardly inspiring stuff though;

Eriksen playing like he doesn't care.

Piatek would have been no ones first choice.

No strengthening at full back or DM.

Bale unlikely.

I guess given we don't currently have a striker that Piatek will improve the squad.
Replying here so as not to take the ITK thread too off track.

Why do you think this? Considering any signing we make up front is coming in to play a squad role once Kane is back, I fail to see how we could do much better than Piatek.

Speaking of number 9. Rumor that Piatek had to earn his keep to wear the number 9. He wanted it when he arrived in January but got denied until the summer.

:ROFLMAO: I'm only 30

That's a tad unfair. I'm very positive about certain things - though definitely haven't been this season or since Mourinho came in. But then again, there hasn't been anything to be particularly positive about - bar individuals like Lo Celso. (And Lamela - always and forever ? )

I just like a striker who offers more of an all round game.

But you know what - @dudu is possibly correct, I am so disillusioned with the Club at the moment (and particularly under Mourinho) that I probably have negativity as my default setting and it's meaning i'm not being overly balanced or objective in my assessment...

I guess taken in to context as a back up for Kane, then he is a viable option.
