so the implication is that levy lied to jose? And there are no funds? Well, if that is the case i assume joss will quit by the summer. And who would blame him? Not very bright that by levy. Also will preclude any other top managers joining us as they'll know with utmost certainty that we r skint and levy can't be trusted. Cool.

(Based on what herc is presumably hinting at)
Don’t overthink it.

@Hercules for being a constant stream of juice. You consistency is appreciated.

For the worse, we are at the mercy of the BSoDL. As I am a member of the tribe of Judaism, I’ve given DL the benefit of the doubt too many times, but really, he only kills his teams value by being focused on bottom line like an accountant. Karma comes to everyone, and his shrewd short minded will cost him.

As did Poch, JM deserves more. I don’t have much else to say and will go back to the shadows of my hole where I came from.

JM is no mug! He took the job with a firm agreement on what budget he believed he would need for 2 windows especially. And if anyone is good enough, go back from day 1 on my comments (covered in hints), on how he would operate in his next role etc. JM is already Indirectly dropping big hints on his feelings.

when asked about signings at the end of his media duties, he motioned his head in the direction of the hierarchy, and said ‘to ask them’.

Levy always wanted Mourinho as manager of Spurs, there is no way he is gonna piss him off after 2 months in charge.
There are evidently frustrations all around as it is turning out difficult to get players in this January window like any January window. Levy has got to realise he can”t play games this time the whole world knows we need a striker with our only striker out for the season and he can’t penny pinch this time. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes and do the deal.

Levy is many things but he isn't stupid.

Can someone much smarter than me explain what it means to fall into pursuit of someone? Perhaps it's my dyslexia but i don't understand what that means. Apologies in advance if I'm missing something obvious.

Ah I see the ITK has turned into that time when everything is horse shit again. Totally thankful to all the guys who give us the info though as they are just passing on the message which is almost rinse and repeat every transfer window.

Just wish the club had a clear strategy which unfortunately it doesn’t look like it does.

I read it as being Joe wanted Jose, so told Daniel to get him (possibly been a long pursuit, as I seem to recall very strong rumours that he would join us from Porto, which were then scuppered by Porto winning the Champions League and Jose appearing on the radar of and actually going to Chelsea)

Feel the summer will be the first (and maybe last) flash point between Mourinho and Levy. This window will give Jose a close up taster of how Levy operates (won't be a total surprise to him but more about how much of a surprise) and now he has settled into the job and finished up with the nice comments for Levy, the cold hard reality of the situation will set in. Even though Herc has mentioned agreements between Jose and Levy, I wouldn't give credence to any promises Levy has made to Mourinho over transfers....Levy is all about doing what he feels he needs to do then rolling the dice and if it comes off, great...if not, move on to the next manager.

Mourinho isn't in it to just qualify for the CL. When he took the job, he was talking about challenging for the league next year (unless it was just big talk on his arrival) and that is not happening with the way Levy operates. Said it before and will say it again, I see it going pear shaped at the start of next season if Mourinho isn't back in the summer and the only way I see that happening is if ENIC sell up between now and then to people who have the means to do that.

If that's the case, maybe Joe should show Levy who's boss and get him to toe the line. The little bald be-atch.

God I love some forum dividing ITK.
I don't, it just means people can see a balance is all. It's pathetic and tilting at windmills comes from both sides, so far as to say it becomes pointless debating, people are too deep-seated to even begin to see the other side.

JL wanted JM! Not DL! DL then fell into pursuit of him:whistle:

Really wish that old codger will sell up and piss off soon. Can then go spend more time on deciding what artwork he wants to buy next rather than on who should manage his football team.
