It's good to hear we still want Piatek. It seems he's clinical in and around the box and I think in these last few games we have lacked that. More often than not we are defending well, competing, creating a few chances but not sticking them away.

Is he a physical presence in the box though and even more importantly can he play with his back to goal? Because that is vital imo.

I don't think he has to be the hulk necessarily, just somebody who can occupy the central spaces and get on the end of crosses and through balls. We aren't perfect, but we are creating one or two decent chances every game and are failing to take them.

Still in for Piatek so I heard this afternoon.

Yes. He might not help with build up play but Piatek will live in the penalty box waiting for opportunities and thus not get in the way of our other players who enjoy staying outside the box.

I’d say the fact that Levy brought in Jose fucking Mourinho and refuses to back him with anything more than loans with no obligation— which by definition are basically just castaways — is shocking, but it isn’t with Levy.

I think we can dispense with all the “was it Levy or was it Poch’s stubbornness” chat. Levy is constitutionally incapable of backing a manager.

Think he is the one Mourinho wants. Will probably drag out through to the end of the window. Noises Milan want Olmo...don't know if they are looking to sell before buying, but if so and they have an interest in Olmo, can see it happening towards the end.
Yeah man, let's drop more points because general **** won't pay a proper price

Daniel ****** looking at loan with option/s, but no obligation ?

Explains why we are taking an age to sign a striker, unfortunately I don’t think we are going to get what Levy is looking for with less than 2 weeks to go, which means we’ll end up with nobody

So we are either broke or something is stirring at ownership level.
Well we've only just set the record for highest profits in the history of world football and been designated as the eight richest club in Europe so I think we can eliminate at least one of those options.

So all that we have money to spend stories we heard from various sources including the likes of hoddle and sugar seems to have just been a line that was fed to appease us then.

If that is incomings is that not a good idea? If the loan doesn’t work out then there’s no obligation...the options may be in our favour.
Unless he meant option, because I’d prefer we done loans with option to buy than obligation
