The FA Cup semi final at Wembley against Portsmouth.

Fuck my old boots.
Remember coming out of that and everyone was in agreement how after losing to that utter garbage are we going to be able to beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City back to back.....love supporting this club as you just never know.

Not even close. Finishing 4th in 2012, after being 3rd nearly all season, and then getting knocked out of the CL for 2012/13 when Chelsea won the final.

As clusterfucks go, that is a premier league clusterfuck.

Yep, that tosspot adiepf made a thread called “sack him” or something and told everyone the world was ending. We beat Arsenal in midweek and Chelsea the following weekend or something.

Missing out on Champions League after Chelsea won in the luckiest way ever. Not really out own fault, but nothing beats that for me.

Yeah, this one particularly stings. I was due to go out that night to a party but ended up just sprawled out on the sofa in utter shock. I still don't know how Bayern didn't win that game.

It's not a Spurs thing really but the OP reminded me of when Chelsea scored against us and Batshuyi, in his eagerness to celebrate, booted the ball... Straight into the post and back into his own face!
Still makes me chuckle.

Wasn't that in the World Cup for Belgium?

It was sickening. I walked out of my livingroom when they got the corner and just heard a scream and knew...

Was it the same season when Adebayor had a goal wrongly disallowed away against Stoke? Remember we being in the hunt for the title almost when that happened.

Signing Aurier seems to be up there right now. In fact, there's a few players over the decade we've signed that could hold that mantle.

Looking back it's been an incredible decade in terms of how the club has grown, but we've also been our own worst enemy and shot ourselves in the foot countless times. Not investing in the squad, or buying shit players, or a lack of composure to get the job done. We do all the hard work and then fuck ourselves over. Crazy club we are.

Two specials that wont get a mention.....

'They' saying Luis Suarez wasn't what we needed.

Deciding Sigurdsson > Isco.
Was that both Sherwood? Redknapp sent him and Ferdinand out to the 'Dam for a "scouting mission". Probably had too much heineken and space cakes and didn't even bother going to watch Suarez. You'd think this would be bollocks; but I can honestly see Sherwood and Les turning it into a jolly.
