Well now Sissoko and Winks are out the Norwich game, lets hope he is ready to play on the weekend. It's one thing not being match fit/acclimatising to the speed of the game here but to me he's fitness in general has looked poor and always felt he is carrying too much weight. Worrying that is the case even more so seeing as he had a full preseason with us.

Really is time for him to knuckle down and just focus on getting fit and staying in the team.

This feels so like the Luke Shaw situation it's uncanny.

I don’t think so. Shaw had broken two legs and so was going to be mentally fragile, Mourinho could have handled that better. Here the player has had fitness issues and also small injuries now is refusing to play. Shaw didn’t do that despite his fitness issues. Mourinho is right to call Ndombele out here, he wasn’t with shaw (unless there was more going on behind closed doors than was said publicly).

I didn't mean my comparison to the Luke Shaw situation to be a pejorative against Mourinho, fwiw.

I get that, i agree regarding his talent, but that's only from Ligue 1 and a few high profile Champs League games. He looks so brittle currently that i'm starting to have initial concerns that this league is too much for him. I hope we get a DM for him to play alongside, but even so, he's not really doing much to show off his talent at the moment and constant niggles/fitness concerns after half the season has passed is a little concerning for me.

He reminds me of Zokora albeit a higher ceiling. The problem with TN and DZ alike is that when they play for other clubs they both look like box to box combative midfielders when in reality they have little to no defensive capabilities. We’ve a habit of buying good players but when doing so not taking into account the system they play in and the other personnel they’re reliant on.

I think some of you are missing the point. JM has two choices. Say nothing or go public. Now we all now Jose’s side of events as he’s gone public with a slamming, when really theirs no need.

old school jose, no doubt. He hasn’t changed, nor will he.

Your persistence in looking to find fault in our manager in the face of any reason is truly admirable, a grit and determination seldom seen since the Spartans at Thermopylae.

I truly believe you’d prefer to see Jose fail so you can rejoice than see us succeed with him as manager. Saying ‘I told you so’ really is the ultimate prize.

There was definitely more going on behind the scenes, and I say that with certainty as someone with absolutely no knowledge of the situation.

JM needs to through TN and GLC into the team and perceiver with them. Look at Fred at Man U, he was awful for a good 12 months and now that he’s adapted to English football he’s performing well week in week out.

Weak mentality, weak physically. Plays 20 minutes a month. Other than that well worth 50m

This happens when you sort your scouted player list upside down in FM.

I’m not sissoko’s biggest fan but ever since he joined us as our record signing (at the time) he’s been 100% professional despite his limitations. He’s meant to be close to Ndombele, maybe the player should be looking at moussa and his approach, despite not being as talented.

Another player with a weak mentality it seems. We need some warriors willing to run through brick walls.
What we need is players that can actually control and pass a ball. You can go around brick wall FFS. Hell, you can go over and, with some work, under brick walls. Unfortunately, through the brick wall is the only option for us right now because we field a bunch of fecking demolition men instead of footballers.

Would cost a lot of money, but if we want to be challenging.....

Exactly, this is who Liverpool would buy if they were us. If that makes sense. This is our top priority and this guy isn't potentially a DM or maybe a box to box. He is a DM and he looks to have the physical tools to handle our league.

If we were to buy one player, it should completely be this guy.

I am no Mourinho fan child, however to my mind Ndombele is a lazy bastard and needs to get himself fit. As a club we can’t call him out on it as he is such a big investment for us. I did wonder why Lyon were happy to let him go early in the Summer window. There was rumours of him being poor in his prep at Amiens previously.
Such a waste as he is so talented.

The lot of you on here work in the wrong profession. The incredible detail and psychological profile you are able to construct from random pieces of half information and press conferences you ought to be working for the police.
