I really liked the moment with Dele, having a push and a cuddle, then Jose lovingly running his hands through Dier’s hair and stroking Harry’s neck. If he can build morale, get some belief back and inject some fresh ideas, at least this season us fans can believe again

This is exactly the kind of thing I was on about earlier. The moral high ground is a fantastic place, all power to you and we as Spurs fans take that high ground ritually, every time there's an issue, that's where we head. He did this, he did that, fuck off I don't want him in my club. Oh boofuckinghoo.

Exactly what I was on about. Wanting ones cake and eating it.

Fuck it, get someone with a bit of bite in, someone who'll put people's noses out of joint, who give as good as he gets and who'll stand our corner no matter what. Because 'nice' has won us fuck all for far too long, if you want nice then fine, but don't complain when once again, we're serial losers.

And the worst of it is, should this whole thing work and we actually win something, those morally superior chaps will fight their way to the front of the mob and cheer loudest.

You can bet both your bollocks, your cat and any residual bumfluff you might have lurking betwixt your pert pear like cheeks on it.
So you are happy with this appointment from Levy?

This is kind of exciting isn't it?

I have to admit that back in August when ValenciaYid alluded to what has happened I just about lost my shit, and I'm still conflicted. On the one hand, loved Poch but on the other his time was clearly up. On the one hand Mourinho is a serial winner but on the other hand this could all go horribly wrong the first time he doesn't get what he wants exactly when he wants it.

But I'm kind of positive now. Until yesterday I was dreading the pikeys' cup final on saturday. Now I think we're going to give them a bitch-slapping (in a non-sexist, non-mysogynistic sort of way). I'd completely written-off all hope of top 4, and probably top 6, this season; now I'm not so sure. And while it is extremely unlikely, would anybody be completely amazed if we went and won the CL this year?

It's just time to strap myself in and enjoy the ride; and hope against hope that it doesn't all go tits up before we've seen some trophies won.

Interesting that he was quite hands on in the training video; he's a proper coach. Also his little interactions with the players, touching their heads etc. He had a moment with Alli where he was obviously giving him some praise.

He walks over to tananga in the longer video on the app and says to his other coach “he marked Ronaldo (something inaudible) him”.

He must of been talking about our preseason game. Now that kind of detail is going to impress a set of players. There’s no way he didn’t do that for an effect.

So excited by this appointment. How can anyone not be pumped listening to that interview ? Serial winner in charge of Spurs and one of the most successful managers in world football, welcome Jose.

I couldn't see him. Couldn't see Sessengon, Eriksen, Aurier, Skipp or Parrott either...

Eriksen 2.12 min in plus briefly in other parts too, but in the main training part f the players doing stuff he wasnt shown along with toby verts tanguy, but in some of the huddles they were seen, but didnt see sess , aurier, skipp or parrot

The proof will be in the pudding. This is a great first impression but it went tits up at Chelsea and United because by all accounts he was totally distant when things went wrong. He didn't learn from the Chelsea 2015 meltdown and history repeated itself. Hopefully it is third time lucky with us.

Praying we get the Lille DoF, whether or not it comes together is one thing, but if we get him then we’re going to have one hell of a setup, exciting times

Really? My in-laws are all Arsenal, and they are utterly gutted about Jose. To be honest, had I woken to the news yesterday that Emery had been replaced by Mourinho I would have been very concerned indeed. As with lots of the press, I sense there was an almost condescending admiration of Spurs under Poch amongst rival fanbases - a sort of feeling that we were a thorn but no real threat as serious contenders. That we have a proven winner (and of course it could very well go wrong) reframes how people may see us now. Some may mock but deep down they are concerned - I think that many of us too were getting comfortable playing the role of plucky underdogs with limited pressure. Love or loathe him, Jose has just upped the ante.
