I reckon he will use our youth a bit more (or just using them at all is a bit more!). I reckon we will see Parrot on the bench and come on for his league debut.

Looking forward to the rest of the season now, I had lost a lot of interest this season with the way Poch was stagnating us. I wasnt too keen before we appointed Jose but Im going to get behind him while he is our coach. It is certainly going to be interesting.

COYS

Maybe its what our squad needs, a coach with new ideas, new voice, and a coach they know has done it and got the t-shirt.

I was Poch in, but my priority is always Spurs, and i will get behind JM,

I think JM is disliked by opposing fans because more often then not he beats them.

Using this 4-1-2-3 template:

Lloris
(Gazzaniga)

Foyth Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
(Aurier Sanchez Tangana Davies)

Dier
(Sissoko)

Ndombele Dele
(Eriksen Lo Celso)

Lucas Kane Son
(Lamela Parrett Sessegnon)

Can't see Winks fitting in a Mourinho team. He doesnt have enough steel to be a DM or enough creativity to be an AM.

I don't see Alli playing so deep in the midfield as that kills his game. I think we'll see Alli playing more against teams that sit back against us rather than in the big games just from a defensive solidity perspective.

As for Winks, he is almost a like for like replacement for the way Tiago played in that team or Pedro Mendes in Jose's original Porto side so I do see Winks getting game time

When he took the helm of the Chelsea as a manager, in his first spell, he stuck with 4–3–3 where most of the English team were playing 4–4–2 those day. And this is how Jose explained his 4–3–3 , here he explains to ZonalMarking the merits of a one-man advantage in any area of the pitch, and how it helped him beat teams with ease
“Look, if I have a triangle in midfield—Claude Makelele behind and two others just in front—I will always have an advantage against a pure 4-4-2 where the central midfielders are side by side.”
“That’s because I will always have an extra man. It starts with Makelele, who is between the lines. If nobody comes to him he can see the whole pitch and has time. If he gets closed down it means one of the two other central midfielders is open.”
“If they are closed down and the other team’s wingers come inside to help, it means there is space now for us on the flank, either for our own wingers or for our full-backs.”

I doubt a manager as tactically astute as Mourinho is going to base any game plan around Hugo's kicking.
Hugo will be replaced IMO. Far too many silly mistakes on top of his dreadful kicking. Never understood how someone who practices all week can be so bad.

I think we will see much more specific selections for how we want to play against different sides rather than general rotation.

Lucas, Lamela, Winks, GLC, Sissoko, Rose, Davies, Foyth, Aurier & KWP will be the players I expect to shuffle depending on who we are playing.

Think the 3 centre halves, Dier, Ndombele, Alli, Son & Kane will play most games and we will build around that.

What I hope:

Lloris
Foyth Sanchez Vert Sessegnon
Dier (new dm)
Lo Celso Ndombele
Son Kane Dele

4-3-3 similar to Madrid except with a similar midfield 3 to his old Chelsea team with 1 DM and 2 CM's. I've always seen Dele as somebody who can play a similar role to Ronaldo at Madrid (the later years) where he was the freeman who pops up and scores and on the other side you've got the counter attacking god version of Ronaldo in Son. For fullbacks Jose used to have Ramos and Marcelo with Ramos the more defensively styled fullback to Marcelo more attacking fb so I've tried to match that in Foyth and Sessegnon.

What I anticipate:
Lloris
Aurier Alder Vert Davies
Sissoko Dier
Ndombele
Lo Celso Kane Son

I'm not taking the piss here, but when was the last time Jose revived a players fortunes?
Maybe with the break he's had, the experience he's had being a pundit while Chelsea are having great success with youth, and the fact that he's walking into a club where he knows he won't be backed up by a 500m budget, his outlook might have changed, if only a little. I think he knows he's getting himself into a project - one dissimilar to any job he's had before - and is clearly okay with it.

I'm thinking he's going to do things differently at Spurs so who knows?

I reckon he will give more specific roles to the players, as opposed to jack of all trades for all players

I hope you guys are right. The number one thing I've been complaining about tactically this season has been the absence of clearly defined roles, which has been particularly obvious in the case of Kane playing everything from striker to CM -- sometimes in the same game. Jose should be able to solve the problem of every forward player thinking like a striker in possession.

Is this the best team he's taken over since Real Madrid? Lets be honest United squad is utter overhyped rubbish.

This. Everyone saying what he did at United etc but it was already a shit show and has been since Ferguson left. Yet he still managed to deliver the Europa League.

We've got what is probably the third best squad in the league.

There are 2 players who would positively consider signing new contracts. Let you guess.

We will be pleasantly surprised by his new brand of football. I hear it is very clever.
