I was 100% in the keep Poch for the rebuild camp, however it’s clear something wasn’t right behind the scenes.

I’m not a Mourhino fan but we want to be considered a big club and this is a big club appointment. I’m just hoping after his year out he’s regenerated ala Doctor Who! ?

I’ll get behind him and the club for the next chapter.

The King is dead, long live the King.

The reaction from some of you shows how much of a weak mentality you have and how much this has plagued our fans for years. We have just appointed a serial winner who's has won more trophies since he started managing than our entire club history, whatever way you want to look at it this is a momentous day yet some of you are too busy hoping that he fails.

Do you want to win a fucking trophy or not?
Do you want our club to be taken seriously or not?
Do you want to keep the likes of Kane or not?

Ask yourself this question as to why we are continually the bridesmaids and we'd never win anything...it's because the entire culture and mentality of this club is based around being 'Spursy' something that our fans are all too happy to embrace.

Change your mentality, we're a huge club starved of success it's only right that we have the best in charge to oversee the change in fortunes at this club.

If our transfer policy over the past window is a reflection of our future ambition, and it's a big if, then I could easily see Jose being a good thing. The guy is a serial winner and on my count, he has won just two fewer trophies than we as a club have in our entire history. If Jose is a changed man, then this move by Levy could be a bloody masterstroke. Could, if's and maybe's, but only time will tell. I am feeling unusually optimistic.

This appointment, whether you agree with it or not, shows how far we've come as a Club. We are talking about one of the best/famous managers in footballing history. Years back, to suggest we'd be able to get a manager of such calibre would have prompted laughs.

It also shows that Levy means business. He's appointed someone who is definitely not a yes-man. He's not someone who will accept 4th as a success. This is an appointment which shows Levy is prepared to put his money where his mouth is. Whether he is a success or not is an entirely different topic, this shows we are on a big stage now and that Levy wants us to compete at this big stage.

On Mourinho, like some have suggested, we have a manager who wins at all costs. That's what we need. We are at a stage now where we have the potential to really kick on. We have a manager who can attract big names. A manager that can perhaps aid in keeping big players. He will excite players. He will make them feel 10ft tall to be their manager. He does create such seige mentalities.

I believe he will be a success at Spurs, as he has been everywhere he's been (including Man Utd).

be interesting to see what will happen with a few of our players.

Sissoko?
Moura?
Dier?
Lamela?
Davies?

Will younger players likes Foyth and Sanchez be trusted?

The guy on SSN standing in front of the training ground reckons he’s at the hotel already. Imagine the players walking in and seeing him there with that arrogant/confident smile on his face. I bet the players can’t wait to get in there today.

Thank fuck!

I’m about 40 minutes behind watching SSN as had to pause it to get the kids ready for school.
You do know it just repeats itself and that watching news channels live is kind of the point of watching news channels right? Spoiler alert, we appoint Mourinho!

Reckon dier will play a lot, Jose loves a DM.

As for the others I can see them moving on in the summer.

Probably something to do with the fact we spend less money than nearly all top half premiership teams. I think it worked out to a net spend of £19M per year over the last 5 years. We've been punching way above where we should be on that figure.

Levy will undoubtedly take a hammering from certain sections of the fan base and press. But faced with the prospect of agreeing a record stadium naming rights deal sans Champions League football and for a club fighting relegation what would you do? Off the back of making that decision, how do you mitigate risk and increase the likelihood of success? How do you retain a group of players with an alleged appetite to win? Simple, you appoint a winner, one that has been successful in the context within which you operate e.g. Premier League and Champions League football.

People seem to be ignoring the fact that if we want to be a club operating at the next level then we don't have the luxury of time.

Jose's at the wheel,
Tell me how good does it feel?
We've got Sanchez, Dombele, Eric,
Harry Kane, he's a Yid born and bred!

Just to truly take the piss when we win 4-0 at Old Trafford this time!

Pretty confident Klopp and Pep will consider Spurs a bigger threat moving forward. This is a defining moment and as much as I love Poch, Daniel has shown us all that he means business and wants to win trophies.

A refreshed Mourinho is exactly what we need right now to step up. Excited to watch spurs again for the first time this season.

I think your post missed the mark but it raises a point about the players. Maybe this is the shake up they need. For the first time in ages they are going to go into training not knowing what to expect, not knowing who the first XI is, not knowing who the captain is, not knowing what the training is going to be like.

They are going to have to work to earn their crust and everyone is on a level playing field. It's a chance for many, so can they take their chance?
