I can only imagine what Poch is going through mentally. The guy loses the CL final and doesnt come out of his house for days, I cant imagine how he's going to handle the next days/weeks after this.

I think the £12mil pay off will make him feel better.

I just hope he finally gets to win something wherever he ends up. He deserves it after the past 5 years. Can you imagine having levy as your boss for that long? No one else managed to last as long as he has under Enic. As for us, Mourinho can manage two good seasons at a club before the players burn out/he leaves. He's not a long term solution, but he wins trophies. If we can get a trophy or two from him and the players gain confidence from that, I'll take it. Then in a year or two we can see whis available for the long term and start a proper rebuild with the added bonus of the winning mentality that comes from winning trophies. Just my two cents on the matter

If Jose has any sense left in him he'll bin them the second he's announced manager, but if somehow, god forbid, anyone of Rose, Vert, Eriksen or Toby find themselves on the pitch in our next home game I hope they blow their eardrums by whistles.

After a few days he'll feel freed (if he doesn't already).

I'd be extremely unsurprised to see Poch win something before we do.

Not happy with the decision. Things were going awry prior to the CL final but I thought he needed time to sort out issues. He had earned that.

I guess managers are disposable. Until the truth comes out it’s all conjecture but I am sure there is more to the last 12-14 months calamities then just Poch losing it.

The way some of you are crying is as if we had sacked Alex Ferguson

Not someone who has won nothing in his managerail career

Why?

Every player is reset now we have a new manager, I could see a couple of those players flourishing under Jose.

Never know, it might be a relief.

I'm sure we would want nothing more to have success under Poch and his team. He was a breath of fresh air when he came in, turned us into an exciting young team, took us to a CL Final. And I'm sure we'd all have wanted him to be the one to turn it around - but there's only so long you can let it go on when it clearly isn't happening. Not for him, his selections and subs are erratic - 94 games without an unchanged lineup, for varying reasons of course - the results are poor, and the various player issues, as well as the prospect of the January window coming up.

His comments pre-CL final were a little confusing, talking about leaving. And since, too. He hasn't been his old self. Perhaps this fruitless task has become too much, no real change or even major signs of progress (Red Star aside, but then the line up changes again..). Maybe a break is best for all. Spurs need to get back on track and perhaps he needs a break from the hot seat.

Of course, we can all point fingers at Levy. Owners don't fire themselves, though, so whoever takes over next needs backing - more so than if Poch had been able to oversee the change we badly needed over the last 2-3 seasons.

If it is Mourinho and his refreshed coaching team, I hope he's re-found his enthusiasm for the game and isn't the cynical bore he became.

It's a shame it ended like this...

The bond as a club we created with Poch was so special & it’s sad that modern football doesn’t allow patience anymore, results in the league weren’t improving & ultimately as painful as it is, he would have left eventually.

It’s going to be a hard watch seeing him at another club, I just hope one day we can create the same bond we had with him with our new manager (as well as success)

Of course it's going to be Jose. Can't wait for the thrilling football, maybe a europa leage or league cup. Followed by a complete implosion. Good times.
In comparison to the boring brand of football we’ve been serving up, no trophies followed by a complete implosion, let the good times roll.

If Maureen can teach anyone on our team to take corners properly we should welcome him. Yeah best of luck with that one.

Taking the emotion out of the news today, and looking at the cold hard facts of the last twenty odd results in the Premier League then i think the end game was quite obvious.

Sorry as i am to see him go, i couldn't see any other outcome especially after the Brighton away game.

I mean I am literally looking forwards to winning a couple of trophies over the next three seasons and I don’t really care how we do it.

Sad day. He gave us back our Tottenham but in the end he lost his magic and when the magic goes it’s time to leave. Sad but inevitable.
Thanks for the memories Poch. Good luck where ever you end up.

It was a very easy fix. Levy had to back Pochettinho in the market period. Stand by the man and have trust...he bottled it big time did want to spend the money.

Lets see what's gonna happen now with the next manager coming in people are shouting for trophies. Is Levy going to pay up or dance.
