So it’s mourinho then, quite clearly not everyone’s keen but he’s most likely going to be our manager so let’s get behind him

Feels like we're selling our soul bringing Mourinho in.

I'll obviously support him all the way regardless and I hope everyone will.

I’d sell my soul gladly for a few trophies fed up of being soft nice guy 2nd bests

It will be Jose, I will be amazed if it isn't. And I must say I'm not a fan. Obviously I will support him and our team, that goes without question. But I really think he's past it, I believe his brand of football is not only incredibly dull but outdated. I really hope I'm proved wrong and he plays a more aggressive game with us. But for me, hiring jose, is not a good fit for us. It feels like a quick fix rather then the correct move for our club. As I said tho, I really, really hope I'm proved wrong if he does, as expected, get the job.
The thing is, he's completely changed his coaching team since his last job. That's quite a drastic change I think and one that hopefully might bring about differences in the style of play. But, even if it is dull then it can't possibly be as dull as it's been the past few months.

Jose is used to getting hundreds of millions to spend at all the other clubs he was at, will Levy give him that kind of money to spend at Spurs? will he fuck.

My take on the timing is that they wanted the influential players back from international duty in order to discuss it with them, before it being announced. Whether that was a final check in respect of the players perspective on the outgoing and potential incoming or whether it was just out of courtesy would be very tellingly. It’s already been alluded to in another thread that Kane may have wanted Poch gone. If that was the case it makes sense to wait until they return from international duty.

i said this as soon as it was announced kane will have been told and i bet he was involved..said to my dad either poch or kane will be gone by end if season that was 2 weeks ago

We went for AVB mainly because people believed he was the next Jose. About time we got the real thing.

The fact Jose appointed his backroom team and started working with them, presumably at his own expense, before he’d even found a job anywhere tells you everything about what an absolute badass he is.

He’s burned by his “failure” at Manchester United where he only won three trophies and finished 2nd. The bastard’s coming to slay and I’m here for it.
