He gave up weeks ago, just stayed for the payout.

Thanks for the memories Poch, you did good.

Not starting Ndombele and playing Eriksen against Liverpool was the thing that swayed it for me.

Anyway don't want to turn this into Poch bashing, we should be extremely grateful where we are today and it's because of him.

Redknapp on Radio 5: "Spurs have a great squad with internationals in every position. They've been massively underachieving. I like Chris Wilder at Sheffield United. He could win the PL with the right team. They'll go foreign for sure."

He’s reading SC. I put Wilder’s name in the mix last week!

Giving twitter a miss tonight, it's a total shit show over there. People posting screen shots of them messaging Levys son on fb and telling his dad to commit suicide etc
That might just push me to delete the app permanently

We have a lot of twats as fans. I went on there but it’s a cesspit. Stay on SC, it’s much safer!

so explain the last year? Explain the results ? The tactics ? The body
language ? The contradicting comments? The courtship of other jobs? The doing one thing and saying another ? The Poch last 9 months not the same as the one who joined ? Levy prob not blameless but Poch has to take blame sorry

It's a simplistic view to blame the manager when the results turn. Poch is a talent who needed nurturing rather than exploiting but Levy has now idea how to do that. Writing was in the wall when we didnt sign anyone summer before last. Even then Poch somehow managed to drag us to a CL final! God knows what would have happened if he was properly backed.

Mourinho would be a shocking choice. 10 behind the ball and he was appalling at United. He's lost it, the modern game has passed his style.
Call me a favoritest, but our squad is significantly more talented than the united he took over (which he got to 2nd, no less).

Classic this - he finally gets sacked and now in the eyes of most he’s the greatest manager ever again. Yet if we didn’t pull the plug we probably go to West Ham with Eriksen playing, no real plan or style, probably go a goal or two down, wait til 70mins to change it and then bring Lucas on at 85mins. Lose the game.

Pochettino was good for us, but let’s not pretend this didn’t need to happen. The players were not performing for him and he looked out of ideas.

Jose in and let’s go back to playing with a game plan and some commitment.

He’s gonna immediately be a manager of one of the top probably 5 clubs in the world but he wasn’t good enough for Spurs anymore? Fucking morons.
I cannot see any of the European giants employing Poch right now. Too risky, what with how we've played/been managed over the last 10 months. Not exactly a top draw CV. These clubs need managers that have won major trophies.

This one does feel a bit like a real life breakup. You just don't want to let go but I do think this was for the best.

That's what Poch has been barking at Levy for a good 2 years now! He tried everything if you'd believe many of the reliable journalists. Told Levy at the end of 17/18 the squad needed fresh blood, and that the contract-rejecting deadwood needed clearing. What followed that first demand from Poch? Over a year of time-freeze! We were historical in not doing even 1 transfer ffs. Somehow he still overachieved and buried the hatches - but when this continues year after year with Levy trying to haggle for 2 million pounds more from some obscure European club for the likes of Wanyama would you not lose your patience as a manager? He tried handling it internally - didn't work, he tried going public, he tried every trick in the managers' book. Nothing worked with Levy. He cant produce miracles with players that simply don't give 100% anymore because they're not getting new contracts or not getting the moves Poch has been willing to sanction.

Edit: Thinking about it, is Pochettino perhaps the first manager to so openly predict exactly this so far in advance? He told us all what was happening. He said hard times were coming - Matt Law reports that he was willing to sell Toby, Jan and Eriksen at the end of 17/18 as they were all not keen on renewing. He's been 5 steps ahead of Levy all the time. An absolute shame that we'll see him succeed tremendously at another club. It could have been us under real and proper leadership.

Ballbag on Radio 5: "You could see it coming. It has felt like the end of the road for a long time now."

This guy is fucking shameless. Let's rewind to this afternoon, shall we?

He dug his own grave. You can't have sympathy for the man. Our CL finish has jaded too many opinions on here.
Still think it all stemmed from the leave quote pre CL final. Poch wasn’t the same after, neither were the players.
It’s almost like he knew he’d run his course and leaving the club would be sooner rather than later.

Sad it ended like this, but it had to end. 25 points in 24 games is not acceptable for any manager, yet alone a Tottenham manager. Player power is king. Huge call this next one, if its Mourinho the fans need to back him
