Magic words from the club statement?

"We shall provide an update on new coaching staff in due course."

Maybe if you'd spent the bloody money on players you wouldn't have to use it on firing your manager. FUCK SAKE.

sorry - this is bollox

We will just pay him till he gets a new job - be that two, six or twelve months.

The absolute bullshit around football

Oh boy the meltdowns in here tomorrow will be good. I think i might just have to pull an all nighter in case Levy announces Mourinho at 2AM eastern.

If Jose comes in it will either end in ecstasy or agony. There won’t be any middle ground. Feel like he could make things happen though

Football in general seems so shit at the moment.

Becoming absolutely sanitised.
VAR is a heap of shit.
The absurd money involved.
The total focus to make it an exported tv spectacle.
Stupid kick offs.
Ticket pricing.
The disregard for traditional working class and community fans.
Etc etc

There are two things that have stopped me getting completely and utterly disillusioned.

One is Harry Kane and all he signifies as ‘one of our own’

The other was Poch - his perspective on football and the way he understood the fans.
He transformed us and gave us something to be proud of. He changed our identity and the fabric of the club.

This feels like a bereavement.

Am absolute devastated that it ever got to the point that this was the necessary choice in the first place. Feel like I've losted a badass step-dad that we planned on doing so many cool shit together but in the end our time together was a lot shorter than expected.

Good luck MP will always love u to bits.

This is going to be the narrative from the media and other fans. I hope people are ready for it.

It’s the idea that we were not so much punching above our weight, but getting ideas above our station. Make no mistake, the backlash won’t be because we can’t do any better. It’s because they don’t think we have any right to do better. Fuck Lineker and the rest of them.

HUGE thank you to our best manager in decades, hes done sooooo much for our club and we will be forever thankful for that. BUT ultimately he didn’t get us over the line in 2 finals , 3 semi finals and 2 title races with what was our best team and squad for decades. Levy has to take lots of blame for not properly backing him and very sad to see him sacked as no way he deserves that but 25 points in 25 games is relegation form and we need to finally get in a proven winner.

We over performed because of him and he simply wanted backing to go the extra yard. Do we honestly expect that another manager is going to give us that without backing ?

For managers that might succeed on a modest budget I would favour Brendan Rodgers if he can be prised away from Leicester. Perhaps get a caretaker and wait until the summer

You might have mistaken what I was saying, I was basically inferring exactly what you said in your first paragraph

To be honest the best part of Gards twitter meltdown is reading back through his time line and seeing how his ranting rallies up just after a post about trying to find mint maltasers.

The club leaked to the press that Levy tried to find a way out and Poch indicated the only way out is to sack him.

Now I know this is a one-sided leak but it's something many of us have suspected over the months.

Love poch but he lost the plot a bit. He team selections were questionable, integrating new signings took to long and shit he said in the media.

He was never going to walk from a big contract. I dont even think he will be to upset about getting fired.
